Hey, SoloNo11, thanks a LOT for this trick!

I've red somewhere in the official forum that St.brg apps use GDI and other graphic buffers a lot, I think that your trick could really improve all that is GUI-related!

But I dunno if rising the pagefile size can really improve memory handling, the problem being that the patched apps don't use the pagefile correctly, example:

- When the physical memory is full, the apps should use the pagefile intensively... but we have found that this is rarely the case here: when the physical memory is full > Cbse / N.ndo (patched) crash.

This is due of course to the patches themselves, who are far from perfect... yet. We hope that other skilled members will find new improved patches to overcome this memory handle problem, and also interface glitches (Chords tracks, Arranger tracks...) we have duly noted.

Hey Deadware, thanks a lot mate!

It's just that I believe strongly in this project, and the other persons involved are just amazing and generous, since the beginnings we became quickly real friends.

I think that working together as a (and for the) community is the way to go, I just hope that the most skilled members we have here take a leap of faith in deciding to help us with new patches and new improvements.

hey, I normally never write to anything but I want to thank you guys for your amazing work on this!

I own Cubase 8.5 and I haven't been keeping up with the updates due to extremely poor financial situation, so this is a godsent gift to finally get it up-to-date and enjoy some of these new amazing features!

I'm really surprised that this just... works? Yeah, it's rough on the edges, but I'm going to stick with this. It's amazing.

Hopefully y'all can fix the issue with the chord track third column! I've read about it being WIP, but I can live without the extensions anyway (it's not like it even allows for every kind of combination of extensions either, and I'm not talking about stuff like sus2 with an add9, but stuff that should be possible!)

As a temporary solution, I would suggest you to inform people that it's still possible to get the extensions there. Instead of using chord track selector, you use chord pad, select the basic chord shape you want and then use the bottom arrows to scroll between all possible extensions with that basic shape. Once you do this and you get your chords in the pads, you can simply drag these pads into the chord track!

Hey Functionally! Thank you for your tip with the chords track!

If you don't have the "Extensions" in the "Audio" menu, here is a simple remedy:

1°) Download and use the latest installer, or copy the dll "araservice.dll" that is in:

C:\Program files\St.e.i.nberg\N.u.endo 10\Components (without the dots)

to -> C:\Program files\St.e.i.nberg\C.u.b.ase 10.5\Components (without the dots)

2°) If you wanna use M.e.lo.dyne as an extension, you have to create a folder and duplicate the VST3 file, as showed in this image.

(The path showed is C:\Program files\Common files\VST3 )

I know it's strange to have two times the same file in the same place, but it is the only way to make it work. This bug is here in legit versions too.

P.S. For everyone:

I would like to recall some of the tricks we learned before, they could make the patched apps work smoother:

1°) Run everything as admin. (Right click on an app, select "Run as administrator").

2°) Set the compatibility to Win 8.

(these two tricks can be set permanently by editing the desktop shortcuts: Right-click on the shortcut > "Properties" > click on the "Compatibility" tab > Set the compatibility to Windows 8, and click on "Run this executable as Administrator" > OK . Do the same for all Cbse / N.ndo shortcuts).

3°) In the apps settings, deactivate Asio Guard. (Menu "Studio" > "Studio Configuration" > "VST audio system" > deselect the case "Activate Asio guard".

(Note that this one works for some users... but not for others, who have in the contrario to set the Asio guard to the maximum to make it work better... I can't explain why )

4°) Please note that in the links proposed above in the main post you will find also C.b.a.se in version 10 (not 10.5).

If ever you have difficulties with the other apps, you should try this one in particular, because the "DC7" version seems to work very well on some configurations, thanks to the great Je509's patch. As for the other apps, please use the simple tricks above.

i just read your DC Post.
So the Version without DC in the name isn't even compensating the delay that occurs?
Am I right with this?

I discovered that it is impossible to open Projects from the standard in the DC Version. Is this normal?
So what if I start a Project in DC. Can I reopen again? I mean a real project.

Hey Lewlew, yes this is exact, the non-DC versions don't efficiently compensate the delay introduced by plugins, so you could hear slight offsets between tracks...

But users have found a sort of workaround: if you insert the "MicroShift" plugin in the audio track, then bypass it (I know it seems illogical), the result is that the latency / desynchro problems seems far less problematic.

Other users have tried also with other plugs and it seems working. The trick is that the plug is inserted and activated, but bypassed.

What do you mean by "impossible to open?" What exactly C.bse DC says when you try to open a non-DC project?

Last question: are you sure about the version that you use? because there is three apps in the release: 2 different versions of Cbse (DC and non-DC), and one of N.ndo.

These 2 versions of Cbse are 10.0.40 and 10.5.

If you open a project made with v10.5 with v10, it is likely that C.bse will complain that "this project have been made with a more recent version".

I installed C.base 10.5.
When I open up my C.base 10.5 project (Non-DC) in 10.5 DC than DC shuts down.
So it won't open.

Interesting, so ARA2 works and I have tried it and can confirm it in Nndo.

I have also noticed that Nndo crashes/freezes sometimes when I try to use some features for the first time. Melodyne through ARA2 crashes it, so did offline processing when I tried it for the first time. Neither of them crash the second time around and from there on. The release seems rather stable even if not 100%. I haven't yet tried any super heavy duty work, but the performance gains are clearly there as some projects that lagged a bit in 8.5 base do not lag in 10 Nndo anymore.

I'd also like to report that I have opened projects from 8.5 base in Nndo and they opened up without any troubles. 8.5 (legit copy) runs fine alongside with all of this.

Thanks about the information in regards to DC, I'll have to try that if it becomes an issue

ARA (= M.e.L.odyne, Spe.ctral.ayers...) works also very fine with Cbse, if you do the little tricks I indicate in the message just above (the first part).

I had exactly the same behavior than you with N.ndo: some actions that make it crash the first time, works very well the second time, this is a real mystery for me...

It seems that it is closely connected to memory handling: the patched apps don't manage the memory very well, and the crashes everyone can experiment are the result of this bad management.

But there is a trick that I think can help some users to work around these problems someway:



Other tricks: run everything as admin, set the compatibility to Windows 8, and deactivate Asio guard as explained in this message (the second part).

Need help checking the Cubase 10.5 pro installer of Team V.R, Zaka1, Mono. Some copied files in the installer are causing errors when loading presets of expansion of Groove agent, Halion and more.

The message that appears is:
"The preset could no be loaded. This can happen if the preset wassaved by a newer version of this plug-in or by an incompatible plug-in."

i did a clean install with only cubase elements v10.4 and all preset were functional

Hey Darkiller666, I had this error too, it is not a file error, but a license error.

The first thing to do is to answer these 2 questions:

1°) Do you have the last release, with AT b10? Please verify now, because you have to know that AT b11 is buggy. If you have AT b11, uninstall it, delete it and re-dload the last versions.

Now try to reinstall everything following instructions. For the step 2, please look at the image above in the main post to know how to set the antitrial (AT) b10 properly, and let it finish till the end. Don't forget to reboot after each step.

If it still doesn't work, answer this question:

2°) Do the Cbse Elements 10.4 you have now is a demo, or a full (paid) version?

Because if it is only a demo, you could try the procedure I describe here.

If it is a paid version, copy the file C:\ProgramData\Syncrosoft\seLicenser.sel to somewhere else (note exactly the place where you have copied it, and never lose it!!! Make several copies if you have to!) before doing anything. Then try the procedure in my link.

(EDIT: finally I think you should do this even if you have only a demo)

If it doesn't work:

1°) Deactivate (uninstall) AT b10.

2°) Copy the original seLicenser.sel (don't lose this one!!!) file back to the place where you found it: C:\ProgramData\Syncrosoft. Replace the file that you'll find here.

Ultimate precaution: If ever you have a dongle, remove it before trying anything.

1. I have AT b10. Never installed AT b11. But i have the old elicenser files. I will first try reinstalling everything without updating to the latest elicenser of the Cubase 10.5 pro Installer. Also i will unplug my elicenser for security

2. Is the demo of 10 Elements downloaded from the oficial site.

If i find the solution i will post it

Finally i find the solution, you were right SoundLanguage. Don`t install the steinberg e-licenser in the Cubase 10.5 installer . Downgrade to another version for example the version that comes with Cubase 10.0.15 Installer. The version that i have is 6.11.7.1254. All presets work . Im fucking happy , i spend one and half day searching the solution. Thank you for your help

Happy to read that, Darkiller666! If ever you have again some problems with the licenser you have, try with the one that is included in the release.

It's the 6.11.9, which seems to have less problems, even with recent soft versions. But hey, you know my philosophy: if something works, don't touch it!

i have problem with SYNSOPOS.exe
i am using win 10 pro and disabled Defender and the antivirus .
after a wile i used cubase , yesterday i got error message when opening cubase . problem with elicenser. i downloaded all the files again , install the elicenser . when i install antitrialb10.exe and choosed just to active trial , i am getting error message "error 25 (russian message ) SYNSOPOS.exe contain virus etc"
so what i do now?

Head up to windows defender -> Virus & .... Security -> allowable threats -> click on Security Process -> search for synsopos and allow.

Hey Goa land, of course you can do as Lewlew said, V.R. recommend to set the entire C:\Program Files (x86)\Syncrosoft folder as an exclusion for Defender...

But sometimes it could not be sufficient, as defender itself can disrupt the AT b10 and even the licenser. Why? I'm not techie enough to explain exactly, but here's what I've done:

The first thing to do before that, is to verify that your date and time are correct: click on the hour at the bottom right of your screen, then on "Date and time parameters" > Activate the 2 sliders if they are not, then click on "Synchronize now". It's very important, because many programs and protection systems don't like that the date and time are modified in anyway.


1°) Downloaded a great free utility called O & O Shut-up 10. This utility doesn't need to be installed, just DL it and launch it.

2°) At first the app will invite you to do a system restoration point, so that you can set back your parameters exactly how they are now. (It's a backup of your registry that you can restore when you want). Just answer yes.

3°) In the app window, you will see a list of windows parameters that you can deactivate (green) or not (red). If you click on each one's description, you'll have an explanation of what this parameter do and if it's recommended or not.

4°) In this image, you will see (surrounded in red) the 4 parameters to set in green to really deactivate defender. You'll have to reboot after have quit the app.

Now you can use the antitrial b10. Set it exactly as in the image above in the main post, and let it finish till the end.

Of course you will be able to reactivate Defender after have used the antitrial b10 and rebooted, just launch OOSU10 again and set the parameters exactly how you want.

Hey Alsono, You could try 2 things:

1°) Compare the content of C:\Program Files\Ste.i.nberg\C.uba.se 10.5\VST XMLs\Ste.i.nber.g Media Technologies (without the dots) to:

C:\Program Files\Ste.i.nber.g\N.u.endo 10\VST XMLs\Ste.i.n.berg Media Technologies
(without the dots)

You will find that some folders are missing in the C.u.ba.se folder, so complete it with the folders that are present in the N.u.endo folder.

2°) Go to C:\ProgramData\Stein.b.er.g\Content\VST Sound (without the dots)
Here you should have 4 files named "Reverence"...

If it's not the case, do a search on your entire hard drive to find the files missing, and copy them to C:\ProgramData\Stein.b.er.g\Content\VST Sound.

3°) Launch the Library Manager and see if you have a tiny orange warning triangle in the top right of the window. Click on it and accept the solution proposed.

If this procedure doesn't work, it means that your problem is not a file problem, but a license problem.

Solution:

1°) Go to the official site, and ask for a trial of HA6, or GA5... or both. ...And perhaps CElements too, if you don't have it already. Remember: Elements only, we don't care about the pro, because our release is only compatible with Elments. All the other apps are completely useless.

2°) Now deactivate AT b10. Very important! If ever you have a dongle (or anything that look like a USB protection, even if it's not from St.brg), remove it before doing anything with AT b10 (activation and deactivation)!!!

2°) Enter all your demo serials (= trial activation codes) you received in the licenser, and validate them one by one.

3°) Quit. Now you can install the apps you dloaded with the Download Manager.

You don't have to install anything but HA6 (it should work with GA5 too, in the doubt install both).

4°) Once finished, reboot, then reactivate AT b10.

Reverence should work now.

UPDATE: A legit user of Nu.e.nd.o informed us that Re.v.eren.ce POST is an exclusivity of legit N.u.end.o, and it could not be included in the patched apps because it needs a very specific license that we don't have.

So if ever nothing works, when you launch the apps , in the warning window choose "delete" and you will not be bothered anymore.

These files are not mandatory for the reverb to function, if you launch the REv. plugin you will see that all the presets are accessible, so no problem at all.

Installed on this Cubase 10.5 the free official package of VST plugins from the site meldaproduction.com, but it is not possible to make the programs complete with the provided activation and validation tools from them. The plugin does not see the provided license file with the correct extension for it. I suspect that the cracked Cubase 10.5 sins on this bad action. Please dissuade me, dear Gurus, in this ...
