I installed the elements version using the serial trial from the official site, search the site for the guide to install cubase 10 elements with extender, finished the installation process ONLY run the cubase pro 10.5 setup skipping the steps elicenser / antitrial

Hey Himbaby, in fact what you describe is the installation of an older V.R. release, called Cbse Elements eXtender.

Here, we talk about a newer release, with new patches. Please stay on topic, there is another topic in this site specifically about this great V.R. eXtender release, which is different from this one.

You have to know that the V.R. release you talk about is centered around Cbse Elemnts 10. Here we talk about a new release with heavily modified versions of Cbse 10.5 Pro and N.e.ndo 10.

To install, you have to read the text file inside the "How to install" folder, and follow exactly the procedure. Please see the image above in the main post to know how to set the AT b10.

I know very well what we are talking about in this post, mine was only a suggestion for all those who are unable to install the pro 10.5 version with your guide since I also did not succeed immediately, I wanted to advise those who had problems with first install the Elements version following the extender guide and then install immediately after the Pro 10.5 version, it worked fine for me, thanks for your work

boa noite pessoal eu continuar a testar todo dia essa versão tem alguma previsão de novos instaladores com alguma correção de tudo que foi relatado essa semana aqui? ate agora ta bem funcional a úncia coisa que tem me incomodado é quando foi abrir qualquer plugin ele corta o som por alguns segundos, ou as vezes fecha do nada fora isso ta bem funcional

Hey Edirlan dos santos batista, I also experimented sound cuts when changing / moving / inserting plugins, but the essential is that when you click on "Play" there is no sounds interruptions anymore.

The same, if you export your mix, there should be no sound interruptions.

If you experiment crashes when inserting plugins, try the non-DC versions, some users have reported that they have managed to mix big projects with them without problems.

- If you wanna continue to use the "DC" versions anyway, there's one thing you could try: deactivate Asio guard. Some users have reported that the DC apps works better like this:

Menu "Studio" > "Studio Configuration" > "VST audio system" on the right untick the case "Activate Asio Guard".

- Other trick: Run everything as admin (right-click on the icon, select "run as administrator").

- The last one: set the apps compatibility to windows 8.

These two last settings can be set permanently if you edit the desktop shortcuts:

Right click on a desktop shortcut > click on "Compatibility" > activate the first box, select "Windows 8", then click on on the last box "Launch this program as administrator" > OK.

Do this for each patched apps you have installed.

I tested what you told Edirlan.
DC Version isn't able to open projects which have been created with normal one.

DC Version don't play audio.

DC versions do play audio and are working, but they are subject to some crashes linked to memory management (which itself is linked to the DC patch).

If they are not working for you Lewlew, have a look at your audio settings: are you sure to have selected the correct ASIO driver?

They can also open projects created with official versions.
If they complain of something, this could only be due to license problems.

EDIT: A desperate measure you can try to make the DC apps working :

1°) Go to the folder C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\St.e.in.ber.g
(without the dots, replace "YOU" by your windows login name)

2°) Delete the folder "C.u.b.as.e 10.5_64" (without the dots)

Now try to run the DC apps again, your plugins will be scanned again, this time try to select the correct ASIO driver.

If there is error messages, note and report them.

On my system (win10 x64) the DC version of cubase 10.5 and nuendo 10 doesn't work. It is very unstable, sometimes it doesn't play audio, othertimes crashes while insert a plugin.
I tried also non-DC versions. They are stable and ready to work perfectly, but in my opinion an app without Delay Compensation is useless.
I'm grateful to all the people who worked on it, they have taken a big step forward. I hope for an upcoming DC version. Thank you very much.

Hey Mikertz, thank you for your report!

You must know that some users have no problems mixing with the non-DC versions, the problem with latency appears mainly if you have many instrument tracks, but mixing audio doesn't bring any problem.

The trick with instruments could be to systematically "freeze" or "render in place" (menu "Edit" > "Render in place") any instruments track after full completion and edition, especially rhythmic and arpeggios tracks.

Other trick: insert in each track an FX plugin that you bypass (or set in "Live" mode): some users have reported that they can easily circumvent the latency problem like this.

Last one: in the Inspector panel, you can easily offset an instrument track forward or backward.

Thank you for your reply. I tried to open a new project on the DC version and import some audio tracks... then I insert reverb and pitch plugins (activating them, just to try) on one track and it went out of time in an audible way. So I can imagine what could happen in a heavy session with many plugins on. Yes, I could do some tricks like render in place, freeze or change offset, but it would make the workflow very slow and difficult. I will try to insert a fx plugin and bypass it....but I'm not sure this is exactly equivalent to app internal DC.

I'm using the team AiR's famous release of Cubase 5 x86, it works very well but with the limitation of 32 bit. Do you know if this release (cubase 5) and cubase 10.5 can be installed together without any conflict? Perhaps due to elicenser antitrial?

Absolutely mate, the great AiR version functions as a whole, completely independently of everything else. I have it also since longtime, and not a single problem to report.

Hey Goa Land, unfortunately not, It's why I send a call to our skilled members to help us, because obviously despite the efforts of our devs we have not found any efficient solution.

So in the meantime we concentrate all our energies in improving the stability of the DC versions, because we know 2 facts for sure:

1°) The non-DC versions are very stable (especially N.e.nd.o, which seems rock-solid), but of course many of us needs delay compensation to be able to work with MIDI and instruments without annoying offsets.

2°) The DC versions are unstable.

So I think we should concentrate exclusively on improving the stability of DC versions, if we manage to do that in a way or in another we'll consider that our mission is fulfilled.

The other bugs have a chance to be solved only if skilled members of this community decide to join our effort and concretely help the community with new patches and bug corrections.

To sum up: we don't need words and/or vague promises, we need actual and solid code to improve our apps, not for us but for the users.

Steinberg Cubase Elements v10.5.x.x eXTender Team V.R. Sure miss these releases, they are rock solid. Any chance of this getting released sometime soon?

Hey Megazildjian, first it's not Elements 10.5 but 10.0.40 eXtender, if you perform a search on this site you will surely find it.

But here we don't talk about it, we talk about the patched apps only. Please stay on topic.

To make them work, you don't need anything else than an C. Elements trial (demo) code that you can ask on the official site. You don't need the app itself, only the serial is important.

To enter the serial in the licenser, you have to deactivate (uninstall) AT b10 first. If you have a dongle, remove it before launching AT b10.

You clearly did not read my comment. This release is a fail, full of bugs. Always will be. Anyone who NEEDS PRO should pay the damn $600.00 and have PRO. The sacrifice to try to simulate PRO has left us missing the long overdue Elements 10.5 eXtender.
