i want to report a bug in cubase 10.5 + ara 28.11
when ever i double click on a midi event the midi editor dosent open and the cubase crash and freez .and if i create new event when midi editor is open program will crash again...

Hi thanks for this awesome upload. I have installed Cubase but want to install Nuendo. Do I have to still use the eLicenser and Antitrial from the Nuendo package or will Nuendo install with the Cubase ones ?

All I can say for now is that I don't have this bug, here is what happens when I double-click on a MIDI part on an instrument track to open editor: Editor.

Then I let the editor opened, then created 4 empty MIDI patterns by setting the locators and double-clicking on the same instruments tracks: new MIDI events

Just a question: is it the same with a pure MIDI track than with an instrument track?

Because when a plugin crashes, it haves the same kind of effects, could you try with other instruments?

I dunno why I say that... but I feel that it could be connected NOT on the MIDI function... but could be a new protection trick, as you have to know that everything MIDI is heavily protected on this app, we will have to investigate seriously, sorry to not have an immediate answer, but with the help of this great community we will find something for sure!

In the meantime, please try to investigate your plugins to see if it is not related to plugins crashes.

it was ok with cubase 10.5 17/11 release until yesterday..today i install that version cubase 10.5 again i have this bug on that 10.5 version too... mayby its elicenser or antirial b10 problem becuse i reinstalled them and before that everything was ok..

and yes i have this problem in pure midi and instrument tracks even if there is no plugins in track

ps: in cubase 10 28/11 it is ok..

EDITTT::::: I installed cubase 10.5 pro 28/11 again next to cubase 10 and nuendo and it works nice with no bug and that midi problem is ok now and no latency everything is ok ..i test it with 50line track project i created with this pacth.....thank you again for youe effort and great work!

A big part of whyyyy some people struggle to get it working is because their Windows installation and/or their Windows environment is rather restrictive and FULL of traps. The SECOND biggest culprit is of course the eLicenser Control Center, particularly the listed/installed licenses that are showing within your eLicenser Control Center ! It seems to me that the MORE licenses you have listed there, the better. The Anti-Trial NEVER seems to cause any problems whatsoever.

It is hard to tame Windows when there are so many builds, each with its own specific factory restrictions. For example, the process of FULLY disabling Windows Updates requires that you tamper with NINE separate areas in Windows 10 Pro, otherwise your Windows 10 updates will come BACK sooner or later, sometimes after weeeeeks. The newer the build of your Windows 10, the MORE likely you will fail to completely disable certain features by just touching the bare basics. Windows Defender (Win 10 Build 1800+) can now reverse "tampered settings", such that it has a stealth/stubborn mode from the factory/Microsoft. The group policy editor has become MORE advanced in build 1900+ of Windows 10 therefore old dogs now have to KEEP learning new tricks just to play catch up in fully disabling Windows Defender, and when I say OLD dogs I'm talking about folks from 2017 / 18 , the Windows Defender from that time is DIFFERENT from the Windows Defender of NOW (Aug - Nov 2019) !! I have managed to get the installation working (both Nuendo 10 and Cubase 10.5) and a stable and smooth operation by installing this deliberately stripped down version of Windows 10

So, I discovered another bug, you can't import AAF/OMF files, there's no option, and from what I've read, Cubase Pro is the only version that does support importing them, is this version built on elements?

ok, Soundlanguage , do you think it's possible, disable all these functions and create a custom Preset to use when we want to reactivate the whole set again? instead of redoing all the operations each time? if I'm not mistaken, Windows 10 should have an option that allows you to save your own general settings and with a lot of speed to restore them later ... but I don't remember perfectly how ... because if it were so it would be a great process for enhance our Daw only when we make music .. and then we will have the chance to return to the common use and use other functions for graphics, internet and more ... I think it would be really useful for everyone you don't find?

An other utility that can help you to have more control over your install is O & O Shut-up 10 a great anti-spyware tool that can really STFU win10, = prevent it to "phone home" each time you click on a thing.

With this free utility, You can also if you want remove defender + firewall, I found that it is better to have a personal firewall + AV that you can control totally (activate or deactivate manually, create exceptions (= "don't touch this or this"), than this MS thing that is always on and is so difficult to control.

great advice thanks I will try this utility since it is impossible to reinstall everything from scratch for a better fix from NTlite as a starting point
