Jolie Rouge: I am aware that it is a workaround, but it at least lets you keep on working. MegaFortress obviously is starting a separate thread for its integrity check, and that check calls the routine that throws up the error and takes down the program. Believe you me, I was amazed myself that a solution as simple as just returning from the call at the beginning of the routine (the thread then throwing its OWN exception, only killing itself) even worked - but it seems to do it. Unless we find where the call originates from, or kill that thread in the first place, that is the best we can do, I guess.

I reinstalled the 10.3.1 version then I put the patch beta 7 and the new protools.dll. It 'came out this http://i48.tinypic.com/10pziv8.png. I clicked ok and the program has continued to operate. after it became http://i46.tinypic.com/110jh4x.png too. every time i click ok the program still works.JustTrying,I just wanted to see if the problem is just in my pc or it happens to everyone. that's fine, I can work now and I thank you for the big help you have given to us!

this is what the "alleged Team VR" beta 8 was supposed to do, but we did it ourselves. I've tested EXTENSIVELY it's been 6 hours , and instead of the MF error, its only an access violation error and after I click ok on the error Pro Tools is still running. Good work! A breakthrough in the scene, making history here! Finally.

joke aside, yep its working with minor glitch. gonna leave it on for the night, overloaded with 25-30 plugins, 14 audio tracks. will report first thing in the morning. hats off lads.
today you made history guys, making this shit workable. audio engine doesnt seem so clean as other daws to my ears, it's like saturated a bit, pleasingly though

First, a very special thanks to Just Trying for the great discovery.

Second, I was in a hurry and tried this on 10.3.2 as that was what I had installed at the moment. Got the access violation but it locked Pro Tools like before. I know Hindustani got errors on launch but I did not. I'm hoping my issues were with 10.3.2 I will try do a fresh install of 10.3.0 when I get a chance.

Im on 10.3.2, i get access violation, then random closedown. It's best to stay on 10.3.0.

I just re-installed 10.3.0 upon uninstalling with REVO Uninstaller. I get ilok errors on most Avid plugins (AIR, TL, Structure, etc.). Other plugins are recognized well. It seems to run ok for a while, but then it shuts down or freezes. THere must be something wrong with my Bootcamp install. I'll re-install the whole thing and get back.

I can confirm what Hindustani said about 10.3.2. Using the dll patch with 10.3.2 has ALOT of problems, pro tools closed by itself with no warning. I advise everyone to stay on 10.3.0 where it is stable.

I am running 10.3.1 installer from digidesign, with original .exe from VR and this .dll from JustTrying,

It is the only combination that was successful for me, I did get the access violation error, once, clicked ok, she was purring for more. I got the MF error until i went and disabled Auto Back up again, somehow changing the .exe and the .dll reverted back the Auto save feature to its default "on" state, so after I disabled it, there were no more MF Dooms.

I tested 19 different projects, rock, hiphop, dubstep, vocals, pianos, mix sessions, mastering suite templates made by yours truly, All my wrapped VSTs run smooth like baby butt. Except for the "dBlue glitch" vst, it works but it's GUI is greyed out, so bizarre.

Anywho, best advice is: try different combos, see what works for ya. I made a folder called: "Back up dll+exe" and two subfolders with the old and the new .dll and .exe inside of those just for peace of mind to revert when I feelz like it or "Pretty Tools" demands it :p
