Hi, Ive been following this thread since the beginning, tried every suggestion and workaround, and finally seems that thanks to Anonymous we have a working Pro Tools 10 (obviously thanks to the work of TEAM VR in the first place) but now seems that the MF error is gone, after 3 hour testing, still no error, or any problem.

I want to thank all the people involved in this, from TEAM VR, and all the people that contributed, to Anonymous, and mukundas that made a patch, thank you all for the good work!!!

Just a comment: when I downloaded the files that Anonymoues uploaded, there was supposed to be 3 files in it: .exe+.dll+.bin but I just founded two of them, ther was no .bin, but still its working fine

Thanks Anonymous, understood. And thanks mukundas, Ill try the patch, but for the moment everything is working fine.

And binber, step 5 and 6 are really necesary? I have 4 processors, cpu limit at 95% and auto-backup enabled, and everything is working ok.

If I were you I would hold my horses putting it up as 10.3.2. The DLL was shown to work flawlessly for 10.3.0, but there were lots of people who used it with a 10.3.2 install who had big trouble. Anonymous himself having success running 10.3.2 is not the rule but an exception.

What WORKS is VR's patch for 10.3.0, together with the one byte timebomb killer I outlined before. The patched locations indicated by Anonyomous are a moot point as the program flow never reaches these locations. (In short, to call the MessageBoxA routine showing the MF: message, four variables must be pushed onto the stack, and I put a return at the first variable. It will NEVER get further, to the locations Anonymous wrote (since he put a return at two of the other variables and the variable that calls the exit routine). His changed locations are harmless - but superfluous.) Thus, what Anonymous' DLL does is just what we had before - but in a nice package: you end up with VR's .exe, the original 10.3.0 DLL renamed BIN, and the patched DLL.

Note that others like me have had the pleasure of noticing that after saving a project the first time, there may not be any Access Violation messages to click away. I think that this may have given Anonymous the feeling he removed it completely.

Still, as I said, the repackaged DLL works - but better not package it with 10.3.2. It belongs to - was compiled for - version 10.3.0.

Well I think I spoke too soon :/ I had 2 freezes in less than 5 min, no warnings or errors, just suddenly feezes and the audio kept playing like in a little repeating bucle or loop (hope you know what I mean) and theres nothing I can do but to hard reset the PC, the weird part is that this never happened before the patched .dll I dont know if this issue has to be with the patched dll or its something about my system, but really this never happened before, now I dont have the MF error, but now the program freezes my PC completely, I have version 10.3.0

Lower CPU limit from 95% to something more reasonable, keep in mind, your Operating system Needs resources too, I used to get hard freezes till I lowered to 75%. I also have a quad core but only allocate 2 processors to pro tools, the other 2 for my OS

This is Avids recomendations BTW. Hope it helps you :)

Are you using mixing 512 samples with Asio4All, in preferences.......?

I had this sample problem before and for me, PT's with Asio4All must stay on 1024 min....512 CAN work for recording to have lower latency, then.....errors!

It's might be a PT's issue. 512 recording/1024 mixing......recommended by PT's. I don't have this issue with my MBox, though.....hmmm?!

Also never forget.....PT's can be very buggy (even uncracked)

Currently: 8:30Hrs running time

Closing and opening PT, Launching projects, Adding plugins, Editing Clips, Mixing...
Only 2 times when adding a 3rd party plugin, it gave a message saying couldn't load the plug but I was able to try again and it loaded. (The issue was the plug itself, some wrapped vsts are picky about jerking them too fast)

I was really pushing it hard and I only have 4gb ram/AMD 3ghz quad core. Upon closing, only once MY FAULT!, windows gave a message that the application was not responding but it was the instance when I had switched up my CPU limit to 85%... my system DOES NOT like that! so it's back to 75% for me which is plenty... you guys experiment with yours.
SO FAR: NO FREEZES, NO MF's, NO ACCESS VIOLA's :P

Haven't tried recording yet since its 6:00am my time, but in a couple of hours I will :)

edit: 0:30 mins till recording session begins and I get to dust off the old Neumann TLM 103... will Report when done... maybe in 2 or 3 hrs. or more!

the only problem i got is rewiring it with sibleius,but it doesn t depend on PT,it seems it takes a powerful computer to make PT and sibelius run smoothly together in rewire

again im going to say if you really want a stable release, use 10.3.0, team vr's patch and change the first address yourself that needs to be changed from the cracked protools.dll from vr using a hex editor. Ive tried changing the other 3 addresses that anonymous posted but that doesnt remove any of the pop ups at all (it doesnt appear too often so i can live with it) and with tho changes, possibly, it could be causing pro tools to crash. Ive been using it with the first address change only with 10.3.0 this way for 2 days now, way more stable (no crashes) than anonymous dll and 10.3.2. Im not bashing, thanks anonymous but your way is not stable for me. and thanks a million to Justtrying, wIthout that info none of this would be possible.

i did not download hindustanis, but i followed JustTrying's method the first time (but i believe hindustani did the same with his dll so technically i would be using his, but it's not his crack really, it's JustTrying's) And yes I havent changed anything at all. I dont need to share because the dll has been posted by Hindustani some pages ago and it's nothing new. This way with 10.3.0 is the only STABLE way to get pthd to run.10.3.1 and 10.3.2 will crash protools with the patches regardless, dont use those releases.

Masterj I confrm the prob with new dll ...i thinlk we dnt need to change anything more then 1st 6A to C3 ...i didnt dwnload any dll but made change in dll acording to anonymous changes.But unfortunatly its not working .3 error (minor)i got within 1/2 hour....an iam using agein the version 10.3.1 with vr patch and this dll http://ul.to/b4y1vwrr it was more stable.....for me and very smooth beleve me .sorry for spelling mistakes

Quick question....when using 10.3.0 with original JustTrying (6A to C3) fix, seems to be the most stable. With this, are you getting no errors at all or are you getting pop up errors that can be dismissed with no locks or crashes.
