That's what I tried to say 10 pages ago but I was accused of being a basher..........I'm not a basher but when it doesn't work properly......next!

That's why I quit PT's and went to Cubase! And I have legit!

Pro Tools is Beast. I am currently running 8 le on Windows 8 and it runs amazing. ( If anyone was a Pro Tools 8 Le user before they upgraded to this is 10 any more stable or light on the PC?

As of now I don't see any of the new features really useful to me as of right now but,

Does anyone know if this Pro Tools 10 HD comes with hybrid and structure full and smack compressor and what not?

If not does anyone know if we can get the Production Toolkit somehow somewhere. This would be epic if attainable.

@Protools 10 I keep the cpu at 75%, works wonders for me.
@Olymoon glad you were able to find a way to get ur collection wrapped, and yeah I agree with ya, annoying to have to do it folder by folder :( such is fxpansion
@popeye yeah man I rock cubase just fine, sonar and ableton, reason & fl... I like them all for different reasons. all have their stupid shit and their wicked "why doesn't the other guy have this?" shit. I am glad though that now we have this pro tools almost solid, gives me something to do over this winter to beat the cold weather lol :p

taschentuch: VR patch includes exe that shows 10.3.0 on opening screen. I believe that Anonymous' dll is a 10.3.1 patched same way as yesterday's version of 10.3.0.

i gotta admit it doesn t blow my mind off coming from PT8,maybe just the increased number of tracks available is a plus,in terms of stability i don t find any differences,besided when i have to do heavy mastrings i used to set the latency to 2048 or 4000 to save the load on the cpu,and the fact that here in this version the limit is 1024 pisses me off,but it s too soon to judge,i ain t gonna uninstall PT 8 though,as long as they can coexist peacefully together

i thought justtrying's method worked fine....it's obvious there are more crashes with anonymous file dll, but until i can see he has a working dll, i wont even try his. No problems or crashes (patch related) with ProTools 10.3.0, VR patch and modified VR Dll (address change 6A to C3).

smitty, Thanks for the feedback. I am happy with 8 after installing Windows 8 all the bugs and issues I did have are no longer there I can track at 64 samples and run allot more VI's & I am using a a 5400 rpm usb 3.0 external to record to with no hiccups... I am mainly looking for the Production ToolKit I need hybrid in my life along with structure full .. but if this ends up turning into a flawless crack. Where it works as if it was purchased and has the VI's im looking for, it will be a good day.

The improvements are more under the hook.....This is why I didn't upgrade to version 10. Version 9.0.6 is the more stable, in my opion!

popeye, Thank you ... I appreciate it. Yeah it seems like Im going to have to start putting money aside. Or wait till this spring and grab Komplete. I am using FL Studio rewired as a sampler and Vst host right now. would be simpler to have structure full or battery

that's why it crashes on the updated ones, thats why i stay on 10.3.0, and use vr's dll with the address change instead. I can confirm it's stable, whereas 10.3.2 with Anonymous patch is very unstable.

Structure is a quite nice sampler but I think Halion 4 is better and not specific to PT's........I wish someone would crack Halion 4, that would be Christmas!

I also use the last AudioZ Battery 3 & Komplete 9 in PT's, no problems!

Good question......with Komplete, Structure free should be enough! Plus, with Structure Free you can drag & drop sample which you can't do with HalionSonic (Rompler), in Cubase; but Halion 4 is a full sampler.

There's alway MashUp 2 which is quite interesting but it's not a sampler, either!

i reccomend 10.3.0, with vr's patch, and you changing the address from VR's dll 6A to C3, don't use Anonymous patched dll because it's still buggy. Mines been working that way with no crashes. I used to use 10.3.2 but with the dll patch it has problems and random crashes. I thought this whole thing was fixed already why is everyone starting to work on another patch? it works fine over here.

I would think that Anonymous' patched dll would work with a 10.3.1 install, though I haven't tried it. I am curious, though. It is basically the same as the 10.3.0 dll. [Edit: no it's not! Anonymous' DLL IS a version of the 10.3.0 dll.]

If it works, first rename ProTools.dll to ProTools.<Something Else Than DLL or BIN>. Then run the VR patch (only to get you that patched ProTools.exe) and delete the ProTools.DLL and .BIN files. Rename ProTools.<Something Else Than DLL or BIN> to ProTools.bin and put Anonymous' dll in there.
I would not be surprised if it works. [Edit: making the same patches as the 10.3.0 version does NOT make 10.3.1 work! So I now doubt it will work.]

The 10.3.2 DLL is obviously too different from the 10.3.1 DLL (as used by Anonymous) to make for a stable installation.
If it doesn't work - continue with 10.3.0 (which still works pretty well). [Edit: So far the best bet, i think.]

everything is working for me, windows 7 64, with the new patch and vr's install and patch, no hickups, plus even fruity loops, reaper and reasons rewire perfectly, im running an asus mother board with only 4 gigs of ram navidia gt 9800 graphics card with a focusrite 2i2 interface...

smitty, My Kontakt is the player I was going official with native instruments, but I am honestly thinking about downloading the Komplete for now until I can afford it I need battery 3 for my work flow the biggest problem I am having is not being able to load up a bunch of sounds and go to work structure is limited and one shots aren't one shots in structure free I need multi outs ....

Download and Install 10.3.0 (stable with the patch, any other version will crash or have errors/bugs), download and run Team VR Beta Patch 7, find ProTools.dll in the protools program files folder, in a hex editor go and change @ address 00223FE40, 6A to C3, save it. Ive been testing the whole day with this and it has been working for me nonstop. If an error pops up "Access Violation" just click ok and Pro Tools will keep running fine. That;s just a side effect of the patch and address change to make it work. Again, Ive tried on 10.3.2 and 10.3.1 with the patches and it is NO GOOD, very unstable so stick with 10.3.0 which is still a good release.
