Install , put patch inside before applying, ! if you need Vst with protools (fxpansion vst to rtas wrapper) is what u need
once loaded under preferences disable autosave feature, it does make a difference also for me bounce to disk works perfectly
make sure youre audio device is set to 512 latency before launching protools PROTOOLS works best with sound card set to either 256 or 512 anything else creates problems IMPORTANT, i also have FULL INSTRUMENT LIBRARYS I WILL BE POSTING SHORTLY
if you get DAE Error go to c:\programfolder\commonfiles\digidesign\plugins and remove the plugs temporily, also pt icon on desktop
right click and under compaitbleity make sure run as admin box is always checked win 7 compaitble tab

WAVES 9R6 WORKS FLAWSELLY hold shift key upon loading protools screen and check do not use TDM plugs
this is why all are having problems with WAVES Crashing

this is an awesome job by the team!!

but compared to other DAWs

protools 10 is still 32 bit, does not support VST without wrappers, and its sequencing is not as good as others..

where it does shine though is its editing, which imo is on par and better in some ways than MAGIX

Well PT has quite an involved protection so I'm very curious to see if plug-ins disappear from the list after a little while etc... This is the type of thing that plaqued the Mac releases of PT 9.01 - 9.03 and then development just abruptly ended. If Team VR did indeed defeat all the protection mechanisms then our hats are off to them since it is quite an accomplishment! So let the testing begin! yes

Actually I will be honest and will admit right here that I have wanted this app cracked for ages and it's not for what you think. In fact I will download it install it then laugh at avid with a nice F YOU A WHOLES. Avid has been stiffling the audio world with their it's us and apple crap. Now the last 2 years the intense competition has gotten to them and they are going crazy trying to come out of that by bringing in a new plugin standard since they see the writing on the wall!!! again please accept my Thanks to team VR and please go ahead now and also crack the Slate VCC plugins as those buffons need a lesson as well.

Ever since I turned to Reaper, I have been on cloud 9 with audio, and even took it upon myself to get involved with the Reaper community and help out. I also make my own plugins now as well in case I need to do something weird. NO APP out there allows me the freedom that Reaper offer's. I will not use Protools I promised myself that years ago!!! I hate the snobby mentality of Protools users ( no offence).

Again thank you for making avid be aware we are coming after your ass.

Nope. One hasn't needed their hardware since version 9.

coolios: You have some valid points about Avid. However, AAX was created because RTAS only supports 32bit plug-ins. When v11 is introduced it will be 64bit, hence, they had to come up with something to support 64bit which required a complete re-write on their part.
