Protools 10 is working fine over here....all the waves plugins work fine and i havent ran into a problem running this app yet, if you have a Focusrite interface, what i have come to realize is you can only record in 24/48 mode and it doesnt change audio properties correctly in protools, 9 or 10.. if you have Fl studio or any other Asio ran programs, you must change the audio settings in it first, then run Protools, this will work and this the only way i have been able to use my Focusrite 2I2.....Ive been recording digitally since the late 90's and have experience with all daws.. Mac and windows.. this is a great app finally, Protools has great editing, but extensive editing and great work flow is a trait of programs like Samplitude and Reaper...If you do all your projects at 24\ 88.2 in Samplitude, you will never look back at Protools or pretty much any other app in fact..Good work team VR

Gentleman I got this thing working on XP PRO SP3 using ASIO4all ( with realteck onboard soundcard). I had an install with XP dual booted with windows 7. Installed in windows 7 then booted into xp and ran protools.exe from the windows 7 directory LOL eveything worked!!! worked just like in windows 7 lmfao "does not work on xp my ass LOL"

It even found all the dpm plugins from the windows xp pro sp3 vstplugins directory, except waves 9 as that will not work

To complete missing only now do the same thing in Cubase 6.5, Cubase 6.5 ie do run on Windowns 7 64bit PC without elicense.

Industry Standard yet out of compliance from various aspects, and always has been. 6 years ago this was potentially a good DAW. Now its just an over glorified piece of software driven by the ignorance of the consumer market fueled by disinformation from a company that cant even make working Windows 7 drivers for the majority of its hardware, much less any other OS by the end of its product lifecycle. Avid/Digidesign/M-audio/ETC/ETC makes the shittiest hardware/software with a lack of commitment to maintain it and keep up with ever evolving standards and compliance. Yet they are laughing all the way to bank off all of the dumb fucks that buy their overpriced shit. If anyone took the time to really psychoanalyze the company and their PR relations/intentions/motivations, you will truly understand wtf is going on. Same with steingberg.

Listening to people talk about this Pro Noob Tools is almost as bad as steinbergs cubase/nuendo users. Used to be good.. now is complete shit. Anyone I've ever encountered in the industry that likes this software is utterly illiterate. People who are forced to use it in a studio, only use it if they have to. This is a dried up jizz stain in a pair of dirty panties laying in the gutter.

Pro Tools HD 10.3 patch (beta 8) - Team V.R internal

1. Download Pro Tools 10.3 Installer (Win) from http://secure.digidesign.com/services/avid/kb/downloads.cfm?digiArticleId=43572 & install it. If needed also download & install instruments
2. Apply patch

Setup notes:
1. Always install to default directory
2. Don't stop PACE License Services
3. If freezes when scanning plugins from Native Instruments (Kontakt 5, Guitar Rig etc) then move these plugins to a different directory and turn back on one at the next start. This is not a problem of medicine - this is a bug Native Instruments
4. not expose the maximum cache size for disk playback - reduce to 1 or 2 GB of maximum proposed

Known medicine defects:
1. some Fortress timebomb "MF: application has been compromised" - now just click OK and further work without freeze or exit
2. not loaded AAX plug-ins with corrupted digital signature (ie cracked)
3. not support Video Satellite Link
4. not bounce to MP3

report: first install try (with some fear, after reading the first comments) - for lazy reasons i want to check it in my bed with a laptop, instead throwing it on the 64bit machine.

after click install a msg appears: similar like "pro tools needs at least 2 GB of ram and at the bottom of this: installed ram=1889 \ needed ram=2000

ok, i have a old laptop (all works fine), but i dont have a 1 million pro tools-console with 5000 mm fader and galactic looking avid-toys to plug in somewhere... this is such a developer arroganz -> !because i tell you something: for real this is a wanna be pro-tools sheep what is disguised as a wolf for windows home users!

i dont wanna serious work with my tiny 2 GB, just want take a first look. i'm now so offended, that i decide: this weak sheep who only bad looks has not earned any chance to get a warm place on my proper 64bit farm now! and i also turn not off the shared onboard gfx memory in the laptop bios, one finger is enough honour 4 this hungry 386dx-A-like noisetracker -> "delete" :) anyway: a cool release! the real pro-tools is the only daw for me that have the power to kill samplitude if it's near working than on a middleclass usual mac setup, but i think no one works a long time seriously with such a bugy and unlovely coded win §$%&/( - im finish with the beta-test, the installer have a nice blue, so long!

It's not working for me... damn
Win7 SP1 32bit...HP ProBook... relatively fresh windows install...
It installs normally but when I run it it crashes on intro screen, when "DAE Loaded" appears...
Also, I'm unable to run LicenseSupportSetup1.exe. Maybe that is the core of the problem. Nothing happens when I run it...

It doesnt load any o the plugins!!! even I after moved all plugins somewhere else it gives me DAE error 6xxxx blah blah!!! its kinda useless now! but it can be a go0d start!

lol, ok, look -- I've been an EXTREMELY RIGID, EXTREMELY *AVID* Pro Tools user for the last 12 years or so, and all I have to say is this: If you guys took a single day to go through Presonus Studio One 2 Professional (x64), you would find that there is no such thing as a better "DAW." It's impossible to beat S1; I've tried them all. This is far from mere subjectivity and partiality here; it's just so simple, quick, easy, and breathtakingly efficient for ANY musician's or engineer's workflow. I found S1 as a zealously skeptical engineer LESS THAN TWO MONTHS AGO, and not even this PTHD10 could convince me that it could top S1 -- not by a long shot. Truthfully, I STILL cannot believe I have been using S1 (let alone ANYTHING) over my beloved Pro Tools. Just my proverbial 2 cents.

And now I'm endless satisfied with Logic, I can work very creative from composing, arrangement until final Mix.

What is it that stop you from being creative in other DAW:s
Is it lack of musical skills?
Or is it that you can do it better COMPUTER WISE in Logic than any other DAW.
As i see it you can be creative in ANY app that can record multiple tracks and play them back so every track is heard not just one at a time.

No problem installing it as long as you follow install notes.
Most people Bag Pro Tools because have to buy it. the good things in life are not always free until now !
This release might change some opinions now that people can try it and check out all its great features, I have been using PT for years and have never had a problem with there product and in my opinion it is not the software it is the user, check the website for compatibility first!
Tried all the other DAWS that have been released on this site and they don't stand up to PT
