im still getting the mf:application compromised error. i tried the different suggestions that are posted here. but still happens. anybody know how to solve that?

hey, anyone know where i can get BETA 8 PATCH??? still getting MF errors every 10-15mins with BETA 7 patch... its very annoying. Please Help!!

still getting the same mf application compromised. did a new installation with the bcdedit commands like described from another user her. but nothing helps at the moment, if there is an newer Beta 8 Patch could some1 upload this here?


did you guys used the installation files from the upload from audioz or did you downloaded it from the link in the nfo file? maybe the installation files in the upload are not ok?

I have solved the MF: Application is compromised error.

Guys dont open a Internetconnection. Close all your other programs. Then open your windows firewall and block all of the *.exe files in the program directory of pro tools. I dont know which one opens a connection did not tested it, but one of them opens a connection and causes the MF:Application compromised error. Now everything works fine for me. please try it and comment here for other users.

I have yet to get any errors what so ever. Do what chus just said plus disabling DEP and run everything as administrator. I also downloaded the newest ilok drivers.

My studio computer has never seen the internet, perhaps that is why it works so well?

i installed the protools from avid and patch it with the beta 7, i have block all connection from firewall, so far its going on ok, if error shows up... i will let you know

did you blocked the files in the firewall? there are 5 exe files in the pro tools directory which i have blocked. when i open a browser i have the error again but without starting the browser it works for 2 hours now without a problem.

what you could do the last is block every connection which goes out of your pc this is 1 blocking rule if it not helps then you can erase this, but worth a try.

pro tools is very nice, i have tried all daw now and sequoia, pro tools, sonar sound the best to me. pro tools is more complex but the editing is fantastic. great daw. guys get the vst to rtas wrapper from fxpansion and you have nearly all of your vsts in pro tools.

DISK PLAYBACK AT 1BG... DELAY: NONE, IF I ENABLE THE MAXIMUM I GET THE ERROR. I HAVE BLOCK PRO TOOLS IN MY FIREWALL, I EVEN DISABLE MY INTERNET. STILL GOT THE ERROR... CLOSE ALL BROWSER AND HAD PRO TOOLS OPEN ONLY... AFTER A WHILE I GOT BACK THE ERROR...

HOPEFULLY A FIX WILL COME OUT, IF THE MF ERROR JUST CAME UP AND NEVER FREEZE IT WOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM AT ALL.

the same for me.....Tried all the suggestions delay none or maximum, disk cache, win 7 compatibile, and so on...always the MF error and blue screen as well. i must admit the defeat and probably roll back to 8 le version! i'm so sad!

@matmau i had the blue screen but got rid of it, try reinstalling ur ilok driver and go to the ilok site and get the latest version drivers and that will get rid of the blue screen .... MF error i can't help u with... i'm also sad

i don t have this problem so this is just a thing that s come to my mind now:what about uninstalling rpo tools completely with a software like revo uninstaller,clean the registry,the set asio4all as default drivers and do a fresh install of PT following the instructions,i don t know it it would work but it seems a harmless try

hey i think i solve that problemo blocking every connection which goes out of mi pc, i make 1 rule the block every program to connect the internet and i work for like 3 hours before i went to dinner and close protools mmmm if you want to connect back to internet you need to disable the rule by the way protools works very well in my lap not even one problem so far o and i dont speak English so.... hope it helps
