EDComp has S-Type based channel compressor trick with ratio and threshold. This means while threshold fixed at high value, ratio will start from 1:1 and goes up to 10:1. This will give you smoother control with better leveling. EDComp will emphasis and de-emphasis lows and high in ED mode.
