hmm fresh install, and plugin works but presets are broken. Says rescan workspace which i did and still same problem.

EDIT: May be my fault I'm using bitwig and didn't realize you said 10 minute start up first time. I closed the plugin sandbox and it most likely broke right there on startup. Reinstalling now and just gonna open it in Ableton or S1 this time so the sandbox doesn't give a false crash again.

FOLLOW UP: I can report that there are no issues, just beware bitwig users, when you open the plugin, go get a sandwich and come back because if you respond to the "plugin not responding" "terminate Plugin Sandbox" message you will break the database for presets and it is not recoverable, requires a Revo complete uninstall and then reinstall. Just wait it out, don't touch chit. lol

Has anybody managed to get the NKS setup work inside of Komplete Kontrol? The presets appear but I am being told that Spire could not be loaded. Thanks

Thank you so much for this database, so useful! I don't understand what Spire actually does when it's indexing all of its soundbanks, I had stopped using it in the past because it just froze for longer than I was prepared to wait, and I didn't realise it was supposed to take ten minutes, I just thought it had crashed because I had added too many soundbanks. No other VSTs of mine do this - what is Spire doing when it's indexing, that takes so long? (I have a Ryzen 9 3950X, so plenty of CPU power.)

This synth seems to work in all usage scenarios thus far. However one beef that comes to mind is with the installer. It dumps close to 3 gb's of stuff on to the system drive NO QUESTIONS ASKED - both in presets and in content audio. The other kicker is that preset content was deposited in a DIFFERENT PLACE than the audio content. WHY NOT THE SAME DAM PLACE?? I was able to do it after the fact, why not by the dev in the first place???

I was able to move all the content over to a storage drive where all other sample content lives which was a two part operation that had to be accomplished thru use of symlinks. I successfully placed all the presets AND the audio content under the same root path so that it makes sense and is all findable in one swoop.

WHY WHY WHY is it so difficult to make a stupid installer that simply ASKS the user where these large sums of content are to be deposited???? How difficult can that be?

In the second setup screen there are options to customize the installation and there are checkmarks! The forth checkmark says: ADDITIONAL 64000 PRESETS FROM OVER 1100 BANKS 3,125.2 MB --> installed in the default user presets location! Seems obvious to me!

The issue with the location is easy to solve: Just move the presets to wherever you want and change spire's presets path to the new folder! No need to symlink anything!

And what audio content/samples are you talking about? The release only comes with factory presets and user presets.

If this is hard for you, imagine cracking a cool synth like this one!

I discovered that not all latest released soundbanks are included with this.

As far as I know, the following are missing:

* Howard Smith Emergence Spire Presets
* Ancore Sounds Trance Family 8 + 9
possibly others as well. I will update here as I go through them.
