It's the type of computing that Apple started using for their 'M' series, so what this means is that these plugs are completely compatible with all macs made since 2021 that use 'Apple Silicon' processors instead of Intel.

Thanks, so do they work on Intel? or only ARM?

Probably not, i'm not sure, but there are some common UB releases,
which i think means they are universal binaries, working both, but ...

All of this 'one' except the H9 series, that's a ton of plugs & includes all their classics. You blind?

When it says ARM in the title, it's logical to think it's only for ARM=Apple Silicon architecture, and NOT Intel. If a release covers both Intel and ARM architectures, the title are supposed show U2B referring to Universal 2 Binary.

As a side note here was a Universal Binary type in the past as well covering both PPC and Intel architectures a binary(app or plugin). The "2" refers to version 2 of the Universal Binary concept, used for the two current architectures in the Apple world.

'Reboot. On login, go to logic app in Finder > Get Info > Check Rosetta .. close info, run / restart logic .. Restart Logic. go into Plugin-Manager - in the right hand pain order by success/failed/status column - then Select Blackhole & Microshift .. click manaully validate slected plugins - they will validate under Rosetta. Success!
then quit logic, get info on logic, click rosetta OFF. Start Logic .. and there you go - both work :)'

this was advice i followed from Londoner2022 last time these were here & it worked, so hopefully it will also work for this release.

it won't show up on rosetta. its not a binary/intel plugin

Exactly. ARM-only AU plugins won't appear in Rosetta mode. That's for Intel-only plugs.

Will we have an Intel Mac?

For those who don't bother to read release instructions.

'Binary Information

Please note: These plugins are released as ARM-only AU (Audio Unit) versions.

This decision was made because AU validation passes consistently and reliably under this architecture.
While we also tested VST3 builds, they proved stable only within Cubase.
The reason lies in how different DAWs handle plugin validation and security checks.'
