I found it...Its not visible if you use "Disconnect Addon" in firefox. But nevertheless there's still no real alternative hoster with an usable service for free users. So, no vote from me!

dont forget there are multihosting sites where you pay one fee and get access to most of the hosting sites listed in the poll-

they really help alot when you have 3 hour limits between files and 50k DL speeds as a free user for most sites..i have yet to find a perfect multi-hosting site, they all have their problems, but the good outweighs the bad by far, since you can cue up DL's w/ resume when you use a DL manager like Jdownloader, IDM or Mipony




*i know we cant vote for hosts not on the list, but for free users, zippyshare and putlocker are the best by far, also 180upload and billionuploads are amazing for free users


i understand there is money to be made off of warez so im sure uploaded or rapidgator will be the winners lol

My opinion:

I vote only for free, fast + hassle-free file hosting sites.
All the others suck i.m.o, capped download speeds, waiting times, crap captchas etc. make you waste useful time. There are several better alternatives out there, but as already had, folks want to make financial profits out from downloads, even sites like this one because most contributors choose it that way. So this "new" initiative makes not real sense.

I think UL and Rapid are just fine. I have a premium account for both.

i'd recommend you to have UL and AllDebrid premiums. that would be more than enough.

I hope its because SAINT is about to fix it and includes a few more alternative hosters. I think if its a real poll than every possible alternative should be available..espesially when so many comments are asking for it. So add MEGA, Zippyshare, Putlocker, Filefactory...etc.

the list of FFS is not my "personal favorites choice". I've asked a few uploaders and a few members, checked some posts;
this is how i got that list.

like i said in my first comment, i'm very happy with UL's premium + i got AllDebrid premium for everything else (but mostly i use it to DL from YouTube).

Hopefully there will still be wonderful people willing to upload larger files to putlocker, sockshare, zippyshare and other fast servers even if UL remains the primary option. That and hopefully the files posted won't be so large :D!

But remember that the scene was not even meant to be public in the first place. So if we want stuff posted here we have to accept that a lot is leaked for some other reason than simply sharing. And all the filehosters make money from warez, so even with those companies that are better for free downloaders we would not follow the motto of R2R and other groups.

But let's imagine somebody could save only $20 a month. Then instead of giving half of that to UL they could buy Reaper after 3 months.
Just saying that it can make a difference for some even if it's small numbers to others.

UL is fine is you have prem, or debrids. Other than that it's a nightmare. Slow speeds, 3 hour wait. 90% of what I use debrids for is UL and I'd rather pay some whatever place than give UL muh money.

1. Putlocker is the #1 service I look for anything on. I'm not sure what it's like on the uploaders side but for the free user it can't be stopped.

2. Mediafire is still on phyre when it comes to decent service. Yeah you got a few captcha's, but parallel dl's, up to 2.5mps [on my end]. As long as you're just not leaving it over night MF still gets the job done [even though I hear they delete stuff more freq than others]

I'm sure there are others, but from my experience Putlocker is #1 all day long and has been for while. If I need something big and want it fast, I'll look PL everytime.

And I would like to add that as a free user I only get decent 21st century download speeds from BitShare [300KB/s] and HulkFile [100KB/s]. ALL OTHERS SUCK for me. Lately I don't download anything that's over few 100 MBs because I cannot be bothered to wait for days to download it completely, especially a few GB libraries. It's just stupid. Until something changes I'm not going to download any big sample libraries and programs. I'll just scratch them in my book, use what I got in better [less greedy?] times, and live with that.

It would be great if big downloads, like over 500MB, could be available through Torrent. That would solve the problem completely. I would personally see that many of these get properly seeded! :)

bitshare.com because they offer best speeds for guest downloads and you can restart your router, delete cookies and download again, you dont need to wait ;)

Lately I don't download anything that's over few 100 MBs because I cannot be bothered to wait for days to download it completely, especially a few GB libraries. It's just stupid.

The download speed of the most commercial file hosting sites is too lame for free users: it varies from 20 to max. 70 kb/s!!! That is just harassment. REMEMBER: Today you'll probably choose Uploaded.net or Rapidgator...both may disappear soon (as it already happened) and then all files will be lost.
