the poll is over.
as you can see on results charts, UL and RG are still the best option;
BitShare is on third position, but like i said in comments, we're choosing one primary FFS and one additional mirror.
That being said, i will send mass message to Contributors letting them know that BitShare mirror would be very appreciated.

Thank you for your votes

this is how freakenergy.ru links its files:

rusfolder.net
ul.to
letitbit.net
turbobit.net
rapidgator.net

no problem with UL or rusfolder.net

i have no problems too...to upload (200kbit-upload for UL is enough for me), and maybe to get some money from it)
I suggest Mega just because people ask me to upload there (faster, free, no time and traffic limitations).
But I know that many warez-websites using some fileshares to get profit for their needs. I just don't need such profit and want to make downloads more comfortable for users)

I use Rapidgator, used to use UL until they started asking for mobe numbers in the payment options.

Would like to see big stuff (>1Gb) on torrent rather than any http service.

I think UL and Rapid are just fine. I have a premium account for both. Morning I get download speeds up to 3.5mb/sec and night time where lots of traffic goes on I get anywhere from 300kb-2MB mostly 1mb most of the time. I think changing servers would cause your old content to pretty much go obsolete since the other servers suck. I do get drop outs from rapid and UL from time to time but it is what it is.

i think adding mega would be fine, works perfectly for me since I have a very slow connection and most fts' restrictions make almost impossible for me to download anything beyond 500MB

I am one for zippyshare as primary, but other than that, I'm fine with Ul.to (being secondary for instance) wink
Thank you for helping us help you help us all.

pretty fast DL speed

Don't make that common mistake just to consider your/the general download speed - the upload speed is more important. Some hosts have terrible uploads, so the uploaders have a hard time doing their work. And without uploaders, well you can imagine...

No one uploads the big stuff with only 20kb/sec available. no

Why are only file hosters included which suck for free users?

I guess no (or not enough) money to be made otherwise...

i personally like MEGA, MEDIAFIRE, FILEFACTORY, HULKFILE, WETRANSFER, ZIPPYSHARE & ADRIVE...UNIBYTES & WIKISEND are also good becoz of their 1-click download service...UPLOADED & RAPIDGATOR are ok....and the problem of waiting for 1 -3 hrs to download the next file can be solved by clearing your browsing history/cache and restarting your modem due to which your IP address changes...i believe these file hosters capture your IP address which is why they get to know how many files you have downloaded....restart your modem & you can download files with a new IP address....i hope this helps yes

FaUs,

That would make this place heaven on earth! I'm sure we would all love to have Putlocker as the main, but politics will get in the way of something so sweet and right. Either way, I'm all for UL.to because it seems they're almost everywhere I need something.

You the man SAiNT!!!

ONCE AGAIN!!!

Mega.co.nz has an affiliate program... look here:

Mega - Affiliate

And Mega also never deletes files even if they were reported to violate any copyrights...and if they do, it will last weeks!

BTW..I think its not clever to make a poll that includes the actual primary hoster..as most users have an account at uploaded and none of them would vote objectivly for a new one as long as their already payed VIP-membership lasts! So its clear that the winner of the poll will be again uploaded..despite it has a lot of disadvantages

Uploaded.to are the best!!! wink
And if some stingy penny pinchers save $ 10 a month although they leech stuff for countless $$$ so they have to wait yes
3 hours waiting time for all the misers are in my opinion all too short, better the moochers will have to wait 10 hours wow

No one uploads the big stuff with only 20kb/sec available

btw, it's one of the reason why i like Mega, i have no limitation on upload, 50Gb space for free account. I don't know any other fileshare which is perfect for uploaders and downloaders at the same time (without premium accounts)

My opinion:

I vote only for free, fast + hassle-free file hosting sites.
All the others suck i.m.o, capped download speeds, waiting times, crap captchas etc. make you waste useful time. There are several better alternatives out there, but as already had, folks want to make financial profits out from downloads, even sites like this one because most contributors choose it that way. So this "new" initiative makes not real sense.

NO vote from my part!

Everyone's voting UL, but UL sucks if you're not a premium member. 50kbs cap?!?! etc etc really people

audiozuser76,
Maybe if people save that $10 a month they can buy some stuff and support devs instead of filehosters and others that make money from warez. I thought you would support that considering your outrage about Reaper.

Personally I must admit I don't get this poll. Surely it must have been obvious from the start that none of the others in that list could get enough votes to get UL removed?

i figured that bitshare is ( at least for me ) the fastest for free users so i voted bitshare....

Hmm, I cant see any poll!

I hope its because SAINT is about to fix it and includes a few more alternative hosters. I think if its a real poll than every possible alternative should be available..espesially when so many comments are asking for it. So add MEGA, Zippyshare, Putlocker, Filefactory...etc. Otherwise I wont vote if only hosters are available that dont offer an usable service for free users.
