just a casual suggestion...in addition to making videos/tutorials available for download...uploading them to sites which offer streaming of audio/video content (putlocker, mediafire, copy etc) would be great so that we don't have to download these huge videos and then watch them on our computers..we can simply watch them online and if we like them, we'll download them later....just sayin

yep, though i've tried many of chinese fileshares and they all was very slow for upload: ~100kbit\s for clouds like baidu or 115, ~200kbit\s for common fileshares with limitations.
And sometimes chinese clouds are very unstable and upload is impossible at all.
(for chinese users upload speed is ok)

You're not getting banned, he just gave you a warning. I'm sure if you got one then others got one as well. SAiNT is less involved with commenting here because my job is to help him out on the forums so that he can focus on his plethora of other tasks such as building and maintaining our dear sites which is a very difficult and time consuming task, the guy barely eats or sleeps. Also I know it takes me most of the day to answer mail so I can only imagine how much he has to answer. SAiNT gave us an option because he cares about our experience and did it with good intentions though I agree that the next poll should have comments disabled because some people just can't handle it. We value our members so if you have any issues please let me know and I will do my best to resolve them. Thank you and have a great day.

Rapidgator and Ul.to are a big NO NO, their transfer speeds are ghastly, especially when you try to download large 500mb+ effect packs.

Mega isn't too bad, the speed is great and in IE you can download a max of 1gb file. anything bigger, you'll need another browser. Firefox works fine with the Mega plugin.

the issue with Mega currently is that it's too unpredictable. sometimes you'll get a "corrupted archive" error after you've finished downloading, and sometimes it will give a "file removed" error when trying to access an uploaded file. try again a couple days later and it works fine in both cases.

Sendspace is nice too, they don't mind having their download links publicly available (unlike Mediafire) but for free accounts there's a 30-day storage limit for inactive files. they'll have to be downloaded at least once to remain on their servers.

I am thankful to the both of you for being a huge part of this site. Some people don't realize the time it takes to pack releases. Whatever file service is chosen, I will be happy with that. I have shelled out a few bucks to have a specific service right now, but to me, it is a small price to pay to be able to play with a new instrument or effect. Cataly5t, I echo Kook's sentiments. Thank you for being here. And for those questioning Saint, wow, you have some nerve. I have spoken to some of the guys behind the scenes in the "scene" and they put in endless hours for us. Respect to Saint, Cataly5t, Kook, and whoever who contributes. Don't just be a leech, bring some love and usefulness to the table.
