here's a rack I made that is ridiculously useful - mid side separator separates your mids from your sides and can boost or ott each according to what your mix needs. i use this rack in literally every project as of lately and it's ridiculous how helpful it is. if the sound isn't present enough in mono, just turn up the mid gain and boom problem solved. no third party plugs required!

Gentle Winds is a collection of the experiments conducted for Dan Keenā€™s eventual Petrichor library. Recordings of an array of Saxophones and Recorders were made and combined with Fracture Soundsā€™ atmospheric sound design to form a library of ethereal woodwind textures, available for free! To form ideas for his latest library, Dan Keen set about recording a set of woodwind instruments in a dry space to get a sense of what the instruments could achieve and how that would translate into samples. The experiments were successful and eventually led to the ā€œWispā€ articulation, which forms the cornerstone of Petrichor: Earthy Winds.
