Thanks man for share your experience. Any DC related post are very appreciated. I'll start reborn my so beloved Cubase experiencies (air 5.0) with this updated release... I really like Reaper's worflow (I've been using it in recent years), but the fact is, I never got the same sound I had when I was using cubase 5. Please guys don't come up talking about Placebo Effect, confirmation bias, null test ... i just belive my ears. Just to clarify: has anyone ever gotten a good mix using Acid Pro, probably not. Same line of thought and different summig , mimxig code / engines.

I believe you, i've noticed differences too.

But I think this is not only a question of internal mechanics (summing a big mix is a delicate operation for sure, there could be slight errors in the process, influencing the sound), it is also a question of workflow.

The workflow, the interface, the functions, influence greatly (even unconsciously) the way you do things, the parameters you set, so as a result you could have a different income.

On the scientific side, know that there was a test (in french) of the new 64-bit sound engine of cubase pro, to see if really, concretely there is a difference vs the 32-bit daws out there. The test is simple: record something in 64-bit, then convert it in 32-bit, keeping the original intact.

Reverse the phase of the original, make a 64-bit bounce of the two (the volumes must be exactly the same), to see if something is remaining.

And there is a remaining, it means that the 64-bit make a real difference in the sound, though of course it is subtle.

Yes this is a false positive alert

I forgot to mention turn off windows defender or antivirus when installing the anti trial
once install reinitialize your anti virus but allow Synopos.exe or the elicencer may not work

if you are worried after you have finished the installation you can block in your firewall C:\Program Files (x86)\eLicenser\POS\SYNSOPOS.exe from inward or outbound calling
Blocking in your firewall does not affect the Use

You will however need to unblock in the future if you need to add additional trial licences into your elicencer

I've added exemptions in my anti-virus, including synsopos elicenser and other folders though every day I have to re enable anti-trial b10 cause Windows Defender keeps taking false positive file\files... Win32/persistance etc... Do you know what to do?

I messed up a step (Cubase couldn't find a valid license) i tried uninstalling all but now i can't install eLicenser again. It never ends the install. What now?

You need to uninstall all related programs, clean up the relevant registry, and finally reinstall

It is because before doing anything like installing or uninstalling Stinberg things, you have to deactivate antitrial first.

The only exception is when you install this release. Cubase 10.5 and Nuendo 10 needs Antitrial installed to function, so you can install them without deactivating anything.

Do this now:

1°) uninstall Antitrial (just launch it, and select "Disable elicenser antitrial").

2°) Uninstall elicenser.

3°) Reboot.

Now follow the instructions again. Try to reboot after each step, just to be sure.

= = = AS A GENERAL RULE, when you install official things from the developer's site, deactivate antitrial first, if not it will simply not work properly. then you can re-install Antitrial again. = = =

Use one or the other, choose what works the best for you. If you have projects with tons of plugins, perhaps you will prefer working with the DC versions.

Thanks to all for bringing us Cubase 10!

I found a bug in all versions (10 and also 10.5), in arranger track manager/playlist the repeats number keeps randomly resetting to zero when I open a project.

Apart from that, everything is working fine for me.

No solution comes in my mind yet, hope someone will be able to tame this fracking insect!

Just tryed the arranger/player its working well

Followed the Video shared by SL
I Created an arranger track set up some basic cells
it quite interesting that within playing you can make this arrangement play A then jump to C then come back to B if that how you set it to operate
saved the project and reopened
the information was saved perfectly
