A happy fiddle noodling in the key of D

Here we have a happy little fiddle performing in D. Although it’s a one-trick pony, it is detailed, intimate, imperfect, and alive. As long as you’re playing in the key of D, this little fiddle will be happy. The modwheel controls dynamics. It was sampled at 120 bpm, and will tempo sync to your DAW, though the rhythm can be a little wonky at times. For years I’ve been dragging my feet trying to capture the idea of sampling “performances,” deconstructing them, reconstructing them, and then making them playable. Some of my earlier submissions touch on this idea.
