Considering that this great release includes the original, unmodified setup, you have to know that it systematically installs the Arturia Software Center. I recommend to uninstall it, since it's not needed at all, whatever the name of the Team is.

If loaded by error / accident, It haves the neat tendency to communicate with its mummy's home the list of the A. products you have already installed, and download / install the updated legit products to replace them.

Only the legit Arturia clients need it. Good thing: this patched release doesn't interfere at all with ASC, so you can mix legit and patched products without problem...

...Except: Pay attention anyway to ASC activity, so that it doesn't replace patched ones with legit ones. Don't allow it to be loaded at startup, better load it when needed and quit it manually.

The true name of this plugin is MIX FAKE DRUMS. You can't obvisously mix real drums with these controls.

I have tried similar plugins such as this that claim to "mix your drums" or "fix" your drum sound, or any one of a hundred thousand other forked-tongue, make-shift lines of marketing b.s..

Truth is I have never heard any of these types of apps actually make your drums sound better in any fashion. The only other thing these plugins might be good for is degrading drums for "artistic" purposes, but there's a ton of stuff out there that already does that, and does it better, IMO...

There is no substitute for recording your drums or using a proper real sounding drum plugin like BFD3 or SD3 and phasing/mixing them properly so that they meld in correctly with the surrounding content. This thing and the others like it are no magic bullet that will get you out of doing the work to mix and phase your drum tracks.

Let me be clear here. I don't dismiss anything. I have tried these (and this one as well) before on real drum tracks and I review them according to what they sound like and/or what they do FOR the tracks themselves. If used as directed the result you get is far from "REAL" sounding - it's more a plastic, fake, neophyte producer, kind of thing that ends up making things sound more like tinker toys than drums...

Mix DRUMS shines with electronic kits, but its mixing tools can still beef up real drums... Every tool has its place, and dismissing it outright misses the creative possibilities.

This is a pretty interesting plugin. It would be even cooler if they did something similar to MDrumStrip and BSA Telos, but I'm literally mixing a song right now that the only recording of the drums was a pair of stereo mics. It works really well for what does and most importantly, sounds good. I just wish it had some sort of auto gain since gaining two bands is kinda annoying. I hope that's the start of a new series from Arturia, because that's finally a useful plugin that looks good, sounds good and controls good. Not just another API channel strip emulation with UX that is straight like using a console after losing an arm in a factory accident.

Arturia has not released a drum VSTI, but some Arturia synthesizers have drum sounds presets. Does this mean that an Arturia drum VSTI will be released soon?
