Audioz Exclusive | 5.6GB | HiDERA
If you want some valuable mixing philosophy and advice, tune into this episode with multi-Grammy winning engineer, Mike Harris. During this episode, Mike deconstructs a mix with us from start to finish. We discuss how he got his start in analog, and how his methods have evolved with the switch to digital. You’ll also hear some great techniques and advice for succeeding in the industry, working with artists, and how knowing elements of good songwriting and orchestration can improve your mix. Mike explains his basic template, organization, and process when mixing a song, including how this track differs from his normal routine, and why. We also cover routing in the studio, and a detailed overview of how he mixed each group of instruments in the song. Mike even discusses some philosophy on what to put on your master bus, and shows us what he did in this case. It’s an extremely informative episode for anyone looking to improve their mixing techniques, so don’t miss it!

5.6gb for 3 hours of material. Other ones as well. Why 400,000k resolution for flipping instruction vids?
How come Groove & MPvid can do 10 hour ones in under 300mb's? Lol.
If theses were realistically sized files at least free downloading would be possible from these dialup slow hosts as well. Don't ya'll get paid from free downloaders too?

Groove & Ask are doing this since a long time and if you look closely, they recompressed some of their old videos (for example a video on Live 8 would be 600MB and the same - yes the same - on Live 9 would be 250MB).
But they've always tried to keep the video tight and focused so they can multiply them on the same topics.
Those other brands (Puremix included) they are more into professional focus so they deliver more like Bluray quality (hence the .ts files that are heavy). And they don't care about the time some talks to explaining his craft.
It's just what you are looking for: some quick targeted tips like Groove3 or Ask Video or you are more into watching a guy talk a lot and grasp many other things.

Personally I like both and them being completely free for testing on AZ, I sure will not complain.
I bought a Groove 3 annual plan but I am still into those Puremix or Pro Studio Live thingies because there is nothing better than a real session where the guy takes his time and develops his craft while explaining thousands of other little things.

Cheers !

I understand. :)

Its something that's been happening recently and also with scene tv releases. .... huge file sizes for the kind of genre or topic and length that is totally unwarranted. I'm sure everyone is chasing after the fact that TV's and monitors are made much higher rez now and do it simply just because.
720p is plenty for instructionals and even many times overkill depending.

Personally I restrict my downloading habits to the free host choice or else I'd go nuts. Bad enough as it is. So I pass on ones like this. Probably for the better actually.

The restriction on mirrors by some uploaders or choosing hosts that are fast even in free mode is another can of worms altogether and been argued so nothing further on that lol
