i also got this problem NO AUDIO AFTER RECORD (empty like new track)

pls fix this..

i'm very sure and know how to setup my audio driver/input/output/sound card/asio
but for this time, i can record or listen what i'm playing (etc guitar).
after finish record the audio file gone.

when i turn to old pacth evything back to normal with the error also.

i hope justtrying know what he want to do next. i share this prob for u. hope u can fix it.

Did you try recording to AIFF instead of WAV? It may be a workaround for now. Also, make sure you run Pro Tools in ADMINISTRATOR MODE. You may also want to try running Pro Tools in XP compatibility mode. Another idea is to try trashing Prefs and Databases. I have not had the chance to try to record with this patch only tried mixing some pre-recording material. Hopefully tonight I can do some more testing...specifically with recording and midi manipulation. Work and life is getting in the way of my DAW fun! tongue

One last question to the guys with no audio after record...might be a dumb question but is there truly no audio or are you just not seeing a waveform?

Has anyone NOT had problems with recording on Win 7/64 bit? What's your take on this JustTrying? Thanks again for your work I might add! wink

Yea its rock solid other than the non recording of BWF format. I've tested this latest fix on a couple of heavy songs and i personally havent gotten any errors when mixing. Yay to the work!!
I did trash all Prefs/Databases...and reinstalled from scratch. This patch wont allow me to record in BWF. Yea Im good with AIFF for now.
Thing is I dont understand why everything works great on my laptop Win7/32. BWF records fine, but not on Win7/64. I mimic'd the settings but...nope.
As far as what does show when recording...it shows the pink "blocks" while recording as usual with the waveform drawing, but upon stop it just disappears and not in the Clips list either. Still...solid other than that!

As I wrote before, the previous version was a work-in-progress. I tried approaching the issue in a different way, and it seems that it now records and does other stuff better. Still a work-in-progress, though! Try the new one in the third thread. (It exits normally!)

Lol it's a pain replying on two different pro tools posts, but I've never had any problems recording with JustTrying's patch (before v5). I'm on windows 7 64 bit. I've been recording guitars and midi and have had no problems. I wouldn't blame it on the patch, maybe check system settings/audio interface settings, or it is a bug with Pro Tools itself. Again, I've had no problems recording with JustTrying's patch, but I will update to v5 for stability purposes like he explains.

Yeah it was weird...I tried the first patch and it recorded fine the first time I tried it yet the next recording I made didn't work so I trashed everything and re-installed 10.3.0....VR 7 and JT v5. Now all is well. Still some craziness with "ASIO settings have changed" requiring a restart of PT but this is probably a problem between my Focusrite interface and PT itself. I'm quite happy! Maybe JustTrying can tackle AAX now. Don't wear yourself out JustTrying we are happy with what we have and are very grateful!

Thanks for the info! I think the problem lies in the fact that the sample rate has to be set within Saffire Mix Control (first) to match the the session in PT that you are creating or opening. Example: Mix Control is set to 44.1 and you attempt to open a 48 project, the error will appear.

Pro Tools Application has stopped working does anyone get this problem i use pro tools record ten to twenty minutes deep in the session and then this appears and crashes does anyone know why i need help

hey people, just logged in to mention that this is not the good version to go with. it's glitchy.

10.3 and the two patches installed on top of each other is the way to go.

also, on my core2duo , the settings : 1 proc/99% , autosave OFF ! , undolevels maybe 5.

antivirus off, wifi off. works perfect. its tempting to sail on 10.3.2 but really is 10.3 the way to go.

ps.: avid virtual instrument are top notch , try them, xpand2 is killer
