Some libraries are only for full Halion, so I've not included them in the list.

I only included those who are recognized by HSE 3.5 (that is compatible only with the new Silk license) AND that are not recognized by full H6.

You say you can open some of them anyway? It's not the case here, I dunno why...

I hope TC Team will see our messages, and try to investigate?

Alas, I don't have enough knowledge to describe exactly the problem and / or try to solve it...

The only thing I can say: I have all the available libraries installed, some of them doesn't work with this TC Team license.

I confirm, many libraries are not displayed. But in your list is the Lofi Piano that I see in the browser. Maybe it somehow depends on the Windows system ... In my case it's Windows 7

Yes, good idea, perhaps the OS version plays a role? W10 21H2 here (last version).

With this TC License, I have exactly 8535 presets in H6 (approx. the same number than with the AiR Absolute 5). With the VR b25 licenses, 10,000. With HSE 3.5.10 (<= R2R Silk Emu), 10,000 too.

It's this difference in the numbers that intrigued me. It's why I supposed that this TC Team license only covers essential / internally developed libraries.

Installed this release with R2R's release CB .20. I then installed Groove Agent 5 but it hangs on initialization during CB .20's boot process. Tried it twice on two different fresh installs of R2R's CB .20 and fresh install of this multi License and Groove Agent v5.05 with the same results of the hang scenario. Anyone else have this working with Groove Agent 5.05? VR's version of b25 works for Groove Agent 5 but this doesn't. Running on Win 11 Pro here.

Does it crash? does any error window appear? I can open Grove Agent 5 on this version and the R2R version with no problem. The TC/Air license is an add-on for the non-dongle versions, I think they said that. Does your elicenser only have the new Air license or more? Give more information to see if I can help.

No, it just hangs and then times out and gives you the option to continue and add it to the blacklist. I'll have to reinstall to check the elicenser since I overwrote that install via a system backup.

The problem is that there are too many options right now. If they are not uninstalled correctly, conflicts are created and especially the VR launches. I remember a hidden synsop0s for your anti-trial version of Steinberg. I ended up formatting. My advice is to try on a virtual machine to check where the error is. In c12 VR you have to delete the hidden wintrust folder for example.

And you still have the problem? I now use the SE version but I tried the one you say and it opens perfectly. There must be another problem not related to the license. The Absolute5 version of Air is also in AZ, maybe it can also help you.

Yes, the exact same problem. At startup CB12 does its scan and hits Groove Agent 5 and just hangs and timesout. I'll check out the Absolute5 version of Air. Otherwise I'll just revert back to R2R version of Groove Agent 5 SE which works fine. Thanks for time!

If I may: Are you on Windows 7?

Because both apps (C12 and Groove Agent 5.0.50) work very badly with W7.

Other thing: it's possible that in fact you have different versions of GA5 on your comp. I mean that normally you have at least the VST2 and VST3 (plus the standalone) installed.

So it's very possible that in fact only the VST2 have problems and generates a crash.

If I was you, I'd let C12 generates its warning, accept to blacklist the VST2 version, then verify if the VST3 version is working. It should be the case.

Nope, I'm running Windows 11 Pro. I've given up on this and have reverted back to Groove Agent 5 SE. Note: This is a virgin base install I use from a backup. Just Windows 11 Pro and I start building Cubase 12.20 R2R etc.. Doesn't make sense why it should hang since there shouldn't be any conflicts etc... at this low a level. Note: That even after installing Groove Agent 5 and launch the standalone it starts to launch and then I just get an endless spinning circle. Strange!

I'm not savvy enough to really answer to you, but here's what I do know:

I had some problems in the past with the vst2 versions of St. plugs, this is why I have blacklisted all of them.

But I had also problems with plugs like Dark Planet, Hypnotic Dance, Neo Soul Key, Triebwerk, who are not real plugs: they are all simple wrappers derivated from Halion sound banks. You don't need them if you have Halion.

Other hypothesis:

1. Just verify that your *.vstsound files are all in this folder:

"C:\ProgramData\Steinberg\Content\VST Sound"

If not, or if they are exploded in several locations, just move them all to this unique location.

2. If you have like me many, many, a LOT of vstsound libraries, it's perfectly normal that C12 hangs at startup, because it haves to verify each of them one by one, and all the licenses and permissions associated with them.

For example, here it haves to verify 1046 files. It takes a certain time for sure...

Conclusion: Just be patient and wait! Let it finish till the end! Sometimes, you can think it's frozen, but in fact it's not.


3. Just verify in "C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins" that you haven't any traces of plugins versions you don't use. You could for example delete:

In the "Steinberg" folder:

- Dark Planet
- Hypnotic Dance
- Neo Soul Keys
- Triebwerk

You can also delete the folders:

- Halion 6
- Halion Sonic

...As you don't need any of these, all exist in vst3 or as Halion libraries.

(You could need VST2 only if ever one day you use proggies like Reason for example, which doesn't handle VST3 yet. Other than that, all recent DAWs can handle VST3)

Nope, this is as clean and minimum setup that one could do here. Not sure where the problem is but like I said VR's b25 has no such problem. Anyway, thanks to both you and Danfos for trying to help sort it out. I'm back to just using R2R's release of Groove Agent 5 SE. I'm sure I won't be the only one coming across this issue on Windows 11 Pro.

My last hypo would be that all of this is not really compatible with Win11...

You know, many vendors says that their things are compatible (with M1 for example), but in fact they're not...

I'd bet that this TC crack have been made and tested on Win7/Win10 only, it's why there's strange bugs with W11...

You say that G.A SE of R2R works for you, and well, have you used the TC version?, because if it is not patched it does not work, it starts to open and close. The R2R version works because they have removed the call to the old elc and it only calls the emu. May I write to you later in private?

I don't think so, for example I know that the VR one is not compatible with the Yam compressors and EQ (I also remember having hard time to try to make Sonote Beat to work, with no success), so this one will likely not work with them neither...

It is a license not a crack. They have tested it on all systems that elicenser supports. Do you also have problems with TC's Groove agent SE or only with large Groove Agent?

I decided to ditch Halion (it's useless if you have Kontakt) however Padshop and Retrologue are also missing some of the downloaded libraries (looks like they need updated tools) the only complete bank of Groove Agent libraries - anyway it's a great release and a great addition ( taking into account the fact that I messed around with the settings for 2 days)

In the end, each person knows what works well for them. I downloaded these versions to try and help but I don't use them. I am legit user of C11 with dongle on my pc for music and I am very happy with that version plus I don't have to use jbritge for vst2's. You have to ask yourself, am I really using 10,000 sound banks, 1,000 vst instruments? Even if I lived 10 lives, I wouldn't get to use it all... That said, I will no longer write in this post, I will speak by p.m with whoever needs it.

In my message earlier, when I talked about compatibility with Win11, I was thinking in fact about Steinberg themselves.

The fact is that now that the new silk license is out, the eLicenser control center itself have not really been updated. I'm pretty sure that Steinberg themselves have not really tested their thing with w11 (after all, the elicenser is doomed, so why bother?).

It's why, IMHO, our friend @Standalone have these problems or bugs (and he's not alone, other users wrote to me about similar issues), I think now that it is linked to the Stbrg elic.

Of course, as I said, I don't pretend nothing here, I could very well be wrong, that's just a personal conclusion based on what I read.

Update: I couldn't get to sleep tonight and decided to try something new regarding this issue. Instead of reinstalling Win 11 Pro from a backup I had been using I decided to do a fresh reinstall from my USB drive (Win11 Pro v.2200.493). Well guess what? It now works and no longer hangs on R2R's CB12.20 Pro startup scan. The only thing I can conclude is that there was something off with the restore of the Win 11 Backup/Restore process I was using, or it was a more recent version of Windows 11 that has an issue. Maybe a permission didn't go back correctly or something during the backup's restore process. It's just weird how everything worked fine except for this util. Anyway, the issue is solved here. Sorry about this folks. So this indeed works with Win 11. Still very strange how nothing else had a problem with the Win 11 Pro backup I restored but this util! Maybe it's time to call an exorcist! Thanks to TC Team for creating this!

In the past, I had to test many, many things (it's why I have so many vstsound libraries installed, you can't say something is working until you've verified that they're all working) and I had to report some strange behaviors nobody never found any explanation...

Yes, in other words: the sole role of this proggie is to record a new license inside:

"C:\ProgramData\Syncrosoft\SeLicenser.sel"

If you don't already have one, the role of "02.Create Elic_Soft.exe" is to create this file.

If, for example, you already have some legit Stbrg soft licenses, or already installed VR b25, or AiR Absolute 5 kgen.... ==> you already have this file on your disk, so no need to use "02.Create Elic_Soft.exe".

Last precision: this new TC Team multi-license is added to your licenser, "Multi.License.Edition.Elc.TC.TEAM.exe" doesn't modify the Stbrg license(s) you already have, nor anything else.

Hey folks,
Just a second update. This morning when I tried to launch Cubase 12 Pro it got hung on VSTconnections. After restoring the backup I made when it worked, it fixed that VSTconnection hang. Something still isn't right here with this TC License. When booting Groove Agent 5 for the first time in Cubase 12.20 (R2R) I get elicense Control Error:
1st Error
Application 'LoopMash01' has caused the following error:
Class not found.
The application installation is not complete. Please reinstall application or update elicenser driver.
I then hit return and get another error:
2nd Error
Decryption failed:
No valid license found
3rd Error
Application 'Loopmash 2 Content' has caused the following error:
Class not found:
The application installion is not complete. Please reinstall application or update eLicenser driver.
4th Error
Decryption failed:
No valid license found.
Note: If I just hit ok through all of the above it will then run without error when I launch that session again. Honestly, I just don't trust this thing!

Your issue is strange because when I tested it, Loopmash seemed to work nicely with this TC licence...

...Or perhaps it is working in fact with Silk? Perhaps @Danfoss could tell us if this plug is included in the license?

...Or perhaps is it a hidden protection measure with the new el. Control Center version? (Mine is old: 6.12.7, never updated, perfectly working).

When I realized that all these licenses (including VR) can be installed offline, I blocked elCC in my hosts file with these two lines:

0.0.0.0 licensetransfer.elicenser.net
0.0.0.0 mb.steinberg.net

(or better: you can block it completely with a firewall, no problem)

This is especially important, for dongle and legit owners, to prevent any access.

For example : a friend of mine, who're still on Nuendo 11, had his dongle being blacklisted by STb... Because he had also the VR licenses installed, and tried to transfer them on his dongle!

This is exactly during this transfer attempt that the connection to Stbrg servers happens.

Balcklisted means: you can always use your legit (paid) license, but it is frozen: you cannot update, nor transfer it to a new dongle.

With the blocking I've done, I cannot update nor operate the LCC (maintenance, for example), and download assistant could refuses to work (this I really don't care).

You can always download and install things by yourself, and everything still work nicely.
This blocking only concerns non-silk licenses, so the new Activation Manager (and the R2R emu) still work as before.
