I have a method to install the new Omnisphere updates, this method needs the keygen provided by R2R, so Omnisphere changed its activation method, The new updates do not show the id of your machine and this causes that the keygen cannot be used, so my method is the following.

1.- Before installing the update, manually copy some of the files from the old folders according to your operating system or plugin version that you are going to use.

2.- Start your Daw and obtain your Machine ID, I recommend that you keep this ID for future updates and do not have to perform these steps again

3.- Once you have your ID, close your DAW and install the new updates and proceed to patch and generate the code for the plugins as before.

That's it I did the test for MAC and Windows and it works fine.

You open your DAW, load the plugin, copy your Machine Id, close everything, download the keygen from a previous post (I didn't include it because I don't belong to the R2R team). Install the update, then patch the files and generate your response code with your machine id.

To be honest, I don't remember my username anymore because for the last updates, I was patching the plugins and everything worked fine on mac.
Except the last update installed namely 2.6.4f or there I did not patch anything, just replaced the plugins and it worked ...
Thank you I'll wait a bit and see because the last time for version 2.6.4 before having the plugins and that it works without patching them with a solution that had come later ... I had first installed and when I got my machine ID it was not taking or no longer taking my response code.
I hope I haven't been too confused in my explanations?!

Ok first you have to copy any of the old files into your plugins folder, open ableton live or logic. load omnisphere and copy your challenge code. now close everything and install the updates.


To patch the plugins on mac is different than windows. Go to your plugins folder search for example Omnisphere.vst right click and select Show Package Contents then contents and then MacOS copy Omnisphere to your desktop and patch that file with the keygen y and generate your response code, once the file is patched copy it back into the vst. You have to do the same for AU and vst3. Hope this helps you

You say "You open your DAW, load the plugin". WHAT plugin? WHAT version of it? You aren't telling people what to actually DO properly.
You mean "If your current version of Omnisphere doesn't have a 'Challenge Code' button, you need to copy over the older version of the Omnisphere.dll file that is in this release, in the 'Old Files WIN' folder, then open that in your DAW, then get your Challenge Code by pressing the Challenge Code button, copy that code into Notepad, then shut down your DAW, install the 2.7 version of Omnisphere, then run the 2015 R2R keygen and press the 'Patch' button, then open your DAW, open Omnisphere 2.7, then copy and paste the keygen from Notepad into the 2015 R2R Keygen, to get the Response Code, copy that and paste that into Omnisphere. Then close your DAW and restart it, then open Omnisphere and it should be authorised.

THAT is how you write instructions. WTF is all this 'machine ID' stuff. It's a CHALLENGE CODE.

I am ignorant for I don't even know where I can find my machine ID lol...anyway no one was born with all the acknowledgment in the world.I cant cope with all that!

R2R keygen working for patched dll. All instruction about getting for challenge code and apply response code to 2.7 original dll-file. It make no sense - Omnisphere said that everything OK, please restart - then we get same authorisation window instead working Omnisphere.
If someone could oversome this problem, please tell us how...

You have to first copy over the old Omnisphere.dll from the folder 'Old Files WIN' that is in the download, to wherever your existing Omnisphere.dll. That will then allow you to see the challenge code (often called 'Machine ID' here for some unknown reason... I've never heard it described as that before, and throughout this process you will only see 'Challenge Code'!) You can copy that code into Notepad or some other text editor, shut down Omnisphere and apply the 2.7 software update. Then run the R2R keygen (mine is from 2015, a more recent version I had from last year didn't have a 'Patch' button), then press 'Patch', which will patch the new Omnisphere 2.7 dll, then copy and paste the Challenge Code which you have saved in your Notepad, then generate the Response Code, press Copy, and then go to Omnisphere and press Paste. Then close Omnisphere and your DAW, then restart your DAW and load Omnisphere again, and it should work.

Worked here. Just had to rebuild stupid machine after Win10 went into cyclic BSOD. Couldn't install in place since it couldn't get to desktop to do it. Fun times and wasted day.

Copied 'old' plug to plugin folder, ran DAW, copied out the challenge code to a txt file.
Installed new plugs. Patched new plugs. Used challenge code in keygen. Pasted generated response into omnisphere. Closed Omni and my DAW. Updated Library. restarted DAW.
Have a dedicated SSD for this lib. Runs spiffy here on Win10.

Everything is OK.
Just replace the dll on your vst folder with the one in Psyevil's Old Files WIN folder. Obviously it's an older version that shows the Challenge Code.
Open the DAW. (Run it as administrator).
Open the omnisphere vst, copy the challenge code and keep it.
Close the DAW.
Install the updates.
Use R2R patcher to patch the dlls (vst2 and vst3) and use the challenge code to produce the authorization code.
Run again the DAW as admin and paste the authorization code.
That's it.

Update: If you have the Challenge Code Decoder, you don't need to do the dll replacement at the start. Use it to get the Challenge Code.

if you just replaced the public key to accept R2R keygen - thats not enough to correctly patch it and it will timebomb (will reset presets when re-loading project sometime, after being open for a while).
we need R2R to have a look and do their magic in these new versions..

sure the path apply process will work fine, but if the patch itself is only replacing the public key - its not enough anymore like it used to be, the developers did something extra (chesums?integrity check?) that will cause timebomb

lol... maybe they did something different here this time and this will work fine,
i just doubt it cus it hasnt happen here before, only R2R made good stable releases of spectrasonics in the past..
it also make sense that the developer will change or add protection against cracks..
