Analog tape has a smoothing effect and adds weight and glue to a mix – it turns the recording from a collection of individual tracks into a song, where everything is connected and works together.

Tape, with its component-level and physical modeling of three different tape machines, gives you all the warm vintage cohesion you could want in one plug-in. Add a few premium level features, like the mastering grade high shelf filter, stability control, and wet/dry mix knob, and you've got a new secret sauce. Mmm... tasty!

Totally amazing. I just noticed the problem of Tape occasionally asking for iLock, so I jumped here, and bam! you already provided a cure !

This tape emulation is the best I have tested so far including Reelight.

I'm so happy about this wave I actually deleted ilok with a legit copy of softube tape just to install it without this protection. Hope Pace will go bankrupt. What a terrible waste of resources this protection is. Someone needs to convince plugin developers to stop using that.

That's what R2R is doing. I think the MAAT guy abandoned his harsh protection after the R2R crack. They keep cracking this ilok stuff, eventually the protection will be deemed a wasteful cost. Not only from the licensing fees they have to pay, but also from all the users who refuse to buy ilok.

Unfortunately, the Pace and MetaFortress protection seem to slow down crackers enough that they will just keep making it worse for legit users in response to every crack instead of abandoning it. A release every 4 years likely won't motivate them to drop it. But I seriously appreciate what R2R are doing - it takes brilliant minds and isn't easy. It's a cat and mouse game and will likely remain so.

My favorite R2R moment is when they released the Arousor update the day after it dropped, after the dev delayed only the Windows version by months to strengthen protection. Serious flex.

I own this plugin, got it on black friday 2019, but the installation is just pure cancer. have to login into multiple acounts they forced me to create and download a couple dfferent files. Will definitely use this one in the future.

Apart from this, the tape simluation is nice, but super subtle. I cant hear any difference most of the time when changing settings.
I rather use other plugins with stronger effect...to each their own.
