Analog tape has a smoothing effect and adds weight and glue to a mix – it turns the recording from a collection of individual tracks into a song, where everything is connected and works together.

Tape, with its component-level and physical modeling of three different tape machines, gives you all the warm vintage cohesion you could want in one plug-in. If you can't hear what this is doing then:

A. You need better gain-staging
B. You need better monitoring/ears

TAPE is 'meant' to be 'subtle'.. it's not an FX box... it works great and glues and places the mix in a smooth soundstage and removes some spiky transients while giving a warm low end bump. You are probably mixing into it wrong, or haven't tweaked it right.. or A/B above. It's CLEARLY making a good difference on my mixes (in place of other tapes like I.K Tapes). Love how low CPU it is too vs IK

is not subtle . . . . you need to adjust the input, rise the input, low th output, (gain staging) an then use the knob for compresion-saturation. In fact is the tape with most distortion . . . but nice distorsion. Try to play with filters too . . .

BIG OOOPS! I thought I could uninstall the legit version, replace it with this one and keep using it as MIXFX within Studio One but is a no. Beware.

So I tried the legit version and this one.
Load times are impressive. R2R's version basically loads twice as fast. However it consumes just as much RAM as the original one, at least on my system.

But as already stated, this version does not include the StudioOne multitrack version of the plugin, so I guess I'll have to use the original one, even though it's waaay slower.

Yup, sadly it doesn't work in Studio One as a "Mix FX" plugin for whatever reason. Probably needs that section cracked too, who knows..

Really need the MixFX integration on Studio One with this one. Hopefully in a future release
