Celemony Melodyne 5 Studio v5.0.0.048-RET screenshot
Team RET | 27 May 2020 | 23.8MB
New technologies, for better results in less time. Thanks to the fundamentally improved “Melodic” algorithm, Melodyne makes your vocal editing even better than before. With perfect, natural corrections at the press of a key. Thanks to the Chord Track, you can adapt notes with lightning speed to suit the song – chord recognition included. And with the unique Fade Tool, you can create note-based fades – even in polyphonic recordings and samples.

All this is new:
the ability to edit pitched and noise-like components separately with the “Melodic” algorithm
a more musical analysis of pitch deviations
the Chord Track and Chord Grid for pitch editing, chord recognition
the Fade Tool and Leveling Macro for editing dynamics
an additional algorithm (“Percussive Pitched”) plus other algorithm improvements
search functions for keyboard shortcuts, saving of shortcut sets

* Melodyne 5 does not support 32bit.
* Melodyne 5 does not support VST2, ReWire.
* You must uninstall V4 before installing V5.

Legit installer has file association issue, our one works as it is.

* No iLok driver installation needed.
* It launches faster than original version like R2R one!

For ARA integration, install VST3.

I know that Melodyne also has a function for polyphonic audio recordings. But is it also suitable for pitching a complete polyphonic audio track? (For example, to adjust an audio track to a different frame rate.) Or should I rather stick to Elastique Pitch for such tasks?

Thank you in advance for your helpful answers.

I 'd like to give you an answer but I didn't understand your question, what do you mean by "frame rate" ?
  Member 29.12.2018 82

Sample rate maybe, frame rate is for video

Thank you for your answers.

I definitely mean "frame rate" - not "sample rate". It's about adapting a PAL dubbing (ADR) with 25 fps to the 23 fps of a Blu-ray.

I thank you for your support.

Actually, for framereateconversion, melodyne is overkill. sure it can do it, but melodynes goal is to change single notes even in complex chords. what you need is hardcore for the algo, because you don't want to get chorus like artefacts, but in the end it is 'just' timestretch.
whatever you use, listen for chorus like sounds on the voices and avoid those.
but, hey this is try before buy, melodyne sure can do the task, and possibly maybe it sounds awesome at it.

I always found Elastique quite bad in polyphonic mixes like movies, Maybe you set it to work ok for voices, but then the effects/instruments gets bad (or viceversa). Maybe is my fault that I can't set it correctly, but I found the MPEX timestretch more natural, especially in surround mixes with all the channels in phase.

It's really not ideal. That's why I'm looking for an alternative.
Do you know who else besides Cubase/Nuendo uses MPEX as algorithm?

There was a standalone version in the past, based on MPEX2 algorithm, which seems to be rather old nowadays. Then MPEX3 was licensed for other DAWs as well but currently I think only Cubase/Nuendo implements it (is MPEX4 now?). All DAWs seems to have switched to elastique and I really don't know why... since for total mixes (even surrounds, which are even more sensitive) MPEX delivers a lot less audible audio artifacts.

It's kinda overkill for that. Too complex and unweildy when you just want to quickly adjust time/pitch uniformly.

The aural tone of the pitched result from Melodyne comes out different than from Elastique, and Elastique is different from Izotope RX Radius, etc. So your artistic preference plays a role too, if that's part of what you're doing.

Thank you very much for your helpful answers. So once again it comes down to "the proof of the pudding is in the eating".

Good Question, would be intrested too.. Short Tip when using elastique, convert/pitchshift Dialogue- and M&E-Stems seperately and mix back together afterwards. Always sounds better. Also try different Pitch-Algorithms(Plugins) for M&E and DIA

Thanks for your helpful tip. In fact, this is the best approach in cases where the respective audio tracks or stems are available separately. In such cases I often do without pitching the e.g. effects track, because there you don't perceive pitch differences so precisely anyway.

But I mostly work on audio mixes of series, where (unfortunately) only the final mix is available.

This is a great update to 4, the sibilance detection and auto non correction is worth it alone! :)

Working great in PT12.5 (AudioUtopia), AND from what I can tell it now opens almost instantly as an insert where V4 would hog down the CPU while opening (and choke audio if playing while inserting/opening) so V5 seems to be better optimised also! great news :)

Now that's just phony, you probably didn't even check the price. It's 700. You tell me you gonna buy this, you warez collector? Listen, if you are here there's no need to be ashamed for using warez and promise to buy every plugin. That's just an idiotic lie everyone can spot from the moon.
