I tried putting Win 10 files of that WS2_32.dll in the System32 and WOW64 folders, as well as placing the 64 in the program's folder - but none of that helped it run on Win 7. Anyone else have any other ideas or leads on how to make this work for 7? I will try again later. If there is success, I will surely say and if I say nothing, then nothing.

All: You have to install v4 1st so it says. I assume it must be the RET version then?
Then when you install v5 you will have 2 versions?

Is that the correct way or have I misunderstood something?

Anyone else having an issue in Studio One? When the initial plugin scan runs, it sees it, but it never appears in the plugins list or as an option in the right-click audio menu ("Edit With Melodyne.") Everything has been cleaned on the uninstall of the previous version, but v5 still doesn't show up. Any ideas?
Melodyne v4.2.4 still works fine...

Solving the problem of Melodyne 5 ARA in Studio One.
1. Be sure to install the package Microsoft Visual C++ 2019
https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
2. After installing Melodyne 5, move file Melodine.vst3 from folder "c:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Celemony\Melodyne" to folder "c:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3"
3. Run Studio One. In the "View" menu, click "Plug-in Manager", "Remove Plug-in Settings".
Rescan the plugins.

Good info, for some people, maybe, but I tried all that (and my Visual C++ is always up to date,) and it still didn't work.
New Release by RET, though, apparently fixing the issue. I'll have to try it later, but it's getting good reviews, so here's hopin'.

addendum: You speak falsities; nothing works in Win8.1.
