Nektar Bolt v1.0 CE-V.R screenshot
TEAM V.R | 23 Dec 2018| 19.19 MB
Bolt is Nektar's first foray into the world of virtual instruments. It employs a new form of synthesis with unique sonic character and intuitive user interface.

Bolt enables a different and fast approach to sound design with an unusually organic and warm sonic character. Harmonics Synthesis generates and shapes the sound directly in the oscillator: It doesn't require the dedicated filter section typically found on subtractive synthesizers. By turning just one knob, a wave's shape can be changed from dark and subtle to bright and overtone-rich.

Harmonics Synthesis is based on the MSO (multi sine oscillator) concept by Professor Dr. Udo Zoelzer of Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg, Germany. Mr Zoelzer is a scientist with decades of experience in digital signal processing and a passion for audio and synthesis. Over the last two years, the university and Nektar have collaborated on developing MSO into a full-blown synthesis engine.

New and unique? Looks like 2-op FM to me, with a tiny twist. However, when I think FM i get a crotch itch and I must try it! Thank you so much for an opportunity to test this without any restrictions V.R!

just a over hyped, its a simple fm synth, what you heard the 'high quality' in the demo video, which from the mix or high end gears, it got a fake better result because, in 2019, the top end harddware synth keyboard from japan still use fm synthesis, same sound character

Probably you have the latest 32core i7 or i9 with 64 GB RAM, and probably he uses x86 on win xp with his earliest one-core i3 and 4GB RAM)

I grabbed up a Nektar GX49 a couple years back and, for what it is--price-wise and all--it's not bad and has held up well under fairly consistent use for not only keys but bass lines as well, alongside some other hardware. (I say "not bad," because it really depends on what you're looking for, obviously.)
I may be looking into a LX61 for my main keyboard soon, and I still have a lot of looking around to do and other hardware that may take priority, but I think Nektar is fairly solid for the price and I've never heard any outstanding grievances from users.
Hope that helps a bit.

At least they are attempting to give new stuff for the holidays. Figure a week for R2R to re-release with their own keygen, and the fanboys to celebrate it as a holiday miracle. LOL Nice job V.R, keep up the good work.

There is no mention nor critics to VR in prior comments. Why do you feel the need to oppose VR to R2R?
We dont need this debate here.

V.R is P2P ,R2R is Scene. BUT both do what they can and we all should be grateful. Comparing 1 team vs. another is pointless
Get a job

Oh, my - this sounds very versatile, and beautiful - useful for a multitude of tasks. Beautiful, short demo video. Thank you, Deuces, and nice job (and gratitude), V.R.
- P.S., Why so much negativity, comparing groups as though they were football teams, or political parties - that isn't what P2P or the Scene is about - at all:
it's about working hard, and sharing the fruits of your labor - for free - with strangers WHO SHOULD BE GRATEFUL, AND NOT SAY ANYTHING, if all you can seem to express is contempt, or belittlement of the groups, or an attitude like "Well, I guess it's o.k., but whatever..." Jumpin' Jebus, there are a lot of spoiled brats on the end-user side - so many that I sometimes wonder why the Groups persist in giving you gifts, which you are perfectly free to take or leave. I wonder what their attitudes would be if all of these groups just said "screw it - let's just keep these to ourselves and to Hell with these spoiled ingrates" - weeping, wailing, temper tantrums and the gnashing of teeth, I suspect.
So many appear so blase - so entitled and casually contemptuous of the appz, and the groups - where does this come from, given the price and the hard work that ALL these groups do to bring these gifts happily to people who - increasingly, from their comments, don't deserve anything?
Sorry, but it had to be said - this is turning into a pattern, in these comments - and it does NOT help either the groups, the scene, or those of us who are filled with appreciation and gratitude for what these groups do - and give to us, as though this was an ideal world, who work at something they love, and share the fruits of their labor with people who take them, leaving only comments with dismissive, divisive or sometimes contemptuous content.
So I said it. The rest of you, I love dearly - keep up the positivity, and the encouragement.
This is a very fragile ecosystem, this 'sharing community,' and that needs to be remembered - and nurtured, not tortured. That is the only price we have to pay - appreciation, and respect - is it too high?
Just one in 7 billion. Here and gone.

Yep, I posted the same thing some months back, colt451_2. It's unbelievable how often people take all of this for granted. I am grateful for the chance to try out even the garbage....so I know that I don't want or need it before I shell out cash for it.
As I mentioned before, I think a lot of people need to step back and imagine where they would be, or more specifically, where their music would be, if it weren't for these teams and even individuals.
You can critique the VST/Plugin/whatever all you want--I pop shit on companies and brands who I feel are either dropping the ball or just plain garbage (in my less-than-humble opinion,) all of the time--but it should never be aimed at the teams or people cracking or uploading the stuff.
As for the team vs. team crap, I have no idea why these people are so invested in it; the teams certainly aren't.
