Ive tried this before. seems great but, when you gotta run a Keygen, how do you install the key with this. I tried it before and I never got it to work. any suggestions or help would be great

No keygen required just block it's access to the internet via little snitch or whatever you use. I started using this because OSX Catalina won't run Wine. It's a little more convoluted than Wine you have to go through a few extra steps but it works like a charm, easy enough to figure out

Is using a Windows Keygen to install another program (for instance Omnisphere 2.6 in Mac Catalina) possible without problems, just like we used to do in Wine?
I suppose it is, but can someone confirm?
I'm asking this because I have not yet upgraded to Catalina.

would you happen to have instruction to run keygens?

the way i do it is opening the .exe file (on mac) with crossover > select application > select "unlisted application" > continue > install > wait for keygen to load up > once your done with the keygen click done on crossover or close out.

but sometimes this doesn't work more me with certain keygens.

Is there a correct way of loading up keygens on crossover?
on the crossover main screen do i have to click on "Run Command..."? then what

yes, you can actually run the Windows Ableton with all of the R2R VST's in it too.
You just need to install Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 from the applications list

If this is from dada it's actually the HCiSO release. question: does this always show up as malware on virustotal? I've checked two different releases and they both do

yes because they had to modify win binaries in order to run on Catalina, but don't worry false positive.

Ok I thought it was something along those lines but good to have it confirmed. One more question if you don’t mind, you mentioned above about using this with the Visual C++ 6.0 but I’m unable to put it in a Windows 10 bottle (64 bit?) which is what I understand is necessary to run Ableton, I always get task failed. Any advice on what I might be missing? Thanks for any help

I can install Visual C++ 6.0 without any problems in a Win10 64-bit bottle.
Make sure to install it from the application list in step one (choose application).
It will say that it's not compatible with Win10 but it still works fine.

Sounds like it’s something with my installation of crossover. I’ve tried what you explained from the application list quite a few times but it always fails. Good to know the correct process at least.

OK, I'm about try this again... Anybody have success with Monetery?

...so far for me, transferring the keygens to a windows machine and then copying the keys back to mac is still easier than getting Crossover, KeygenApp, Wine, etc to work - such a headache! Seems like there should be a simpler solution to all this by now!
