The zipped files you download from here are 72gb. After they are unzipped, you have about 77gb. That is the official size of a "Full" Keyscape installation.

I don't think anyone is really saying that Keyscape is 80gb. They are saying you should have that much free space before you try to install it. That is, it requires 80gb free drive space to run the installer. That's because installers generally need some extra space for temporary files of one kind or another.

Another Problem!

So, all the updates have been applied and patched,etc. Omnisphere v2 sees keyscape as a satellite. The browser also sees Keyscaoe and the patches are also there.

But when I tried to load, it says something about " rescan, cannot find zgms +sorry I forgot the actual message but I hope you guys know it+".

Tried both pasting the 'folder' inside the Keyscape and Inside Omnisphere folder as the instructions 'you know where those location are' and both gives the same error!

Note: I install only Disc One of Omnisphere v2 . If we need to Install the full Omnisphere v2 for Keyscape to work, let me know.

Please notice these words from the instructions:

Before installing, make sure your Omnisphere is ready. You must have a complete, working version of Omnisphere 2.


Those are the first two sentences of the first paragraph. I want to call your attention to this important word: "complete."

I didn't download from here (zippyshare links are unavailable anymore). I did it from torrent in unzip form., and size is 72.1 Gb. I was wrong about size of 80 Gb, you are right it is 77 Gb. Something miss, but what? I have a complete list of files. Anyway thanks for reply.

Thank you for posting again. You are helping me see I was making a mistake. I thought the difference had something to do with compression, but it doesn't. However, I think I was correct to suggest that nothing is missing.

I'm pretty sure the files here are the same as what's in the torrent. Yes, this post indicates a total size of 72gb. Yes, the torrent indicates a total size of 72.17gb. The torrent contains a total of 154 files, and if you add the sizes indicated, the sum is 72.5gb (that difference probably has something to do with rounding errors).

Yes, Spectrasonics says a "Full" Keyscape installation is 77gb. So is there 5gb of material missing? No, there isn't. If you download from either here or the torrent, and you look at the size of your Keyscape Library folder on your computer, you will see that it is 77.32gb. That is, essentially the same number that Spectrasonics reported.

The difference between 72 and 77 is about 7%. You will also see that difference if you look at individual files. For example, the largest file is this:

LA Custom C7 Grand.db

On my computer, that file has a size of 14.93gb. If you look at the torrent listing, the indicated size of this file is 13.91gb. The difference between those two numbers? About 7%.

So you are sharp to notice the discrepancy, but it's meaningless. It doesn't mean that files are missing. It is a technicality that has something to do with the way these numbers are measured and reported. Someone more knowledgable than me might be able to explain this further.

It didn't work!

System: Win8.1 x64
Omnisphere Software: 2.3.1 x64
Omnisphere Soundsources: v2.0.1c
Omnisphere Patches: v2.3.0c

I've created folowing folder structure in my STEAM folder

D:\Omnisphere\STEAM\Keyscape\Soundsources\Factory\Keyscape Library\Keyboards

and copied Chimeatron.db and Boutique.db into it. Then I load Omnisphere and refresh the library.

Keyscape won't appear in the list.

I close Omnispere and deleted all zmap files, then I reloaded the plugin and rebuild those index files.

No way, it didn't work.

This release is really messy, I waiting (hope) for a proper R2R release.

The instructions have a suggestion regarding an alternate path. Did you try that? Notice this comment:

In this case, it doesn't matter if there are 53 db files or just 2. For this reason they exist separated download links. I'm glad not to have wasted more time and bandwidth for this messy thing.

If you didn't download and install all the files, because you think you know which ones are essential and which ones are not, then that might explain why you're not getting the same result as people who downloaded and installed all the files.

I've d/l'ed about 10Gb's worth of this and placed it into my STEAM folder and it IS all showing up in Omnisphere, however, it won't load ANY of the samples/patches? Trying to d/l the rest but with the speeds showing at the moment (0-25kbs) I'll be lucky to have this by 2018!?!? Anyone else having these issues?

Mmm I just noticed a few reporting that, seemed strange that some could load and use patches when they had only just d/l'ed some of the files. I tried deleting the z.map files (as some suggested) to see if that worked but no go so far. As I said I've managed to d/l 10Gb so far but that is from a Pirate Bay link which seems to be dying (as I said down to 0-25kbs d/l). So I've tried to d/l from the links here but can't get ANYTHING?? Now I REALLY appreciate all the work that Olymoon & yourself (c.chiefly) have done here to get this torrent up but I'm just trying to d/l your instruction file c.chiefly (http://ul.to/h4hr63me) and all I'm getting is a VERY ANNOYING malware window opening asking me to contact Microsoft support (an obvious scam) what's up with that? Is there another way (or other links) to d/l this rather than the annoying uploaded.net/peeplinks links?

Thanks you c.chiefly for very detail explanation, I really appreciate it. Full size of torrent files is 72.1 Gb (they are not in compressed form). Full size of files on my disk (Keyscape folder) is same 72.1 Gb in both circumstances full number of files is 154. Most of them (I mean *.db files are big (full number is 53. files) for this files slack is irrelevant and for most of other files too. Only few files are small, and slack is relevant form them, but this increase full size of this files very little.

In my disk, size of this file is exactly 13.91 Gb (no difference of 1.02 Gb). After all, this difference of 5Gb is aftereffect of something else. I am curious did you have opportunity to see original files (which are in original flush cards, maybe is documentation, videos....). My documentation (torrent doc.) folder has only 3. files of 38.3 Kb size, and with disk size of 41.5 Kb. That's it, file slack of 3.2 Kb, and nothing else.
This is strange (no documentation)?
Anyway, I am very grateful for your explanation and info about number of files, some file sizes, which is very relevant to me. Best wishes and thanks to your great effort!

I think this is the heart of the story right here. For the same file, you see 13.91gb and I see 14.93gb. Notice the ratio between these two numbers:

14.93/13.91 = 1.0733

Now notice the ratio between these two numbers:

1073741824/1000000000 = 1.0737

I think you didn't say what OS you are using, but I think you are using Windows. Am I right? I'm using Mac. We're having this conversation because Windows and Mac report file size differently. Specifically:

Some operating systems such as OS X express hard drive capacity or file size using decimal multipliers, while others such as Microsoft Windows report size using binary multipliers.

Do you have sound from Omnisphere patches? Did you have sound from Omnisphere patches before you installed Keyscape? Did you try adding the Omnisphere plugin to a new, empty project? Are all your version numbers correct?

I have updated Omnisphere 2 (cracked from audioz) 2.3.1 ,Soundsources 2.0.1c ,Omnis. Patches 2.3.0. Keyscape is on the list in Omnisphere to Satellites category...

I try add Omnisphere (keyscape) to new project...

Yes, but I get the same result, it looks like Omnisphere should save some file, but folder is protected, I tried to put even that I am the owner of the (Spectrasonics, STEAM, Omnis. etc.) folder that I am an administrator, but still the same happens ... it might help if someone packed in RAR files from Spectrasonics all folders and files, but without 72 GB of Keyscape Library.

ok, I deleted everything, and re-installed the old version of Omnisphere 2.0 with all 8 DVDs samples library, then test all in FL Studio...all works perfect, then I update Omnisphere to last version, and all other updates for omnisphere, last step is copy Keyscape to ProgramData\STEAM\ ...open FL Studio again, and now finally everything works, and keyscape is excellent

in short - everything works perfect and Keyscape work

Great, I'm glad to hear you got it working, and thanks for posting that good news. It will help other people who might be in a similar situation.

Yes, I agree, Keyscape is really, really good. I have tried zillions of different plugins for acoustic piano, Rhodes, Wurlitzer and Clavinet, and Keyscape is so much better than anything I ever tried. It sounds good in demos, but actually playing it made me appreciate it more. I guess it has to do with the way it responds to velocity in a sensitive, realistic way.
