Spectrasonics - Keyscape Library for Omnisphere 2 - TZ GROUP screenshot
Omnisphere 2 Library | 72 GB
KEYSCAPE™ is an extraordinary new virtual instrument featuring the largest selection of collector keyboards in the world. From “holy grail” pianos to stunning keyboards you didn’t even know existed, this is a keyboardist’s dream come true.

Ten years in the making, each of these sought-after keyboards was carefully restored and then deeply multisampled by the renowned Spectrasonics Sound Development Team. These compelling and highly expressive sounds will inspire you to PLAY!

The process began with going to the ends of the earth to find and restore each one of these rare and incredibly special instruments with the top technicians and expert craftsmen from each discipline. We even went as far as spending years redoing these instruments from scratch again and again until they were totally “right.” This incredible attention to detail and meticulous care given to each instrument allowed us to develop these sounds to a whole new level of authentic tone.

While it’s every performing keyboardist’s dream to have the very best instruments instantly available anywhere, Keyscape is equally useful in the studio for producers and composers. Since these instruments can be easily transformed into amazing “unreal” sounds with the powerful STEAM Engine® under the hood, Keyscape easily turns these coveted instruments from History into innovative new sounds of the Future.

Custom Controls
The Custom Controls presented for each Patch allow you to go far beyond the original sound. The intuitive interface includes useful performance controls and high-quality creative effects processing specially crafted for each Patch. Hundreds of included Patches showcase the remarkable versatility and ability to dramatically customize these iconic sounds to your music.

Authentic Expression
With many of these collector instruments, it’s really the imperfections that make them so interesting. Instead of cleaning up all the quirks and noises they make, we made sure to closely capture them since they are a big part of their vibe. In addition to that, our software team closely modeled the authentic behavior and mojo of vintage amplifiers, classic effects units, and unique subtleties like mechanical noises, pedal noises, and release overtones to bring these sounds to a whole new level of authenticity and dynamic expression.

Hybrid "Duo" Sounds
Along with the hundreds of patches based on the 36 instrument models, Keyscape includes special hybrid "Duo" sounds which combine two of the instruments to create something entirely new. The unique timbre of these Duo patches make them some of the most creative and inspiring sounds in Keyscape!

Omnisphere Integration
As a bonus for Omnisphere 2 users, Keyscape also integrates fully as a satellite instrument within the Omnisphere® interface. Keyscape will simply appear as a library inside Omnisphere’s browser for users of both plugins. This capability allows Omnisphere 2 users to harness additional functionality like Live Mode, Stack Mode, Multitimbrality, endless FX routings and the full synthesis power of the STEAM Engine® to explore endless new sonic possibilities and combinations.

Technical Specifications
• Huge library with over 500 “Best-in-class” sounds, 36 Instrument Models and Hybrid “Duo” Patches
• Deeply Multisampled sounds with up to 32-way velocity switching, Round Robins, etc.
• Mechanical Noise, Pedal Noise and Release Noise behavior modeling
• Patches feature authentic circuit modeled amplifiers and effects
• Available as Download (77 GB) or Boxed USB Drives Edition
• Optional “Lite” installation (30 GB) for stage use
• Full Omnisphere® 2 integration

c.chiefly you are great, thank you man. All this what you wrote it will be great help to me, specially because I am very experienced in PC technology, but not in music software. I never used Omnisphere (Keyscape too), and I am still in process of collecting informations, before I start installation of 55 Gb + 72 Gb plus some DAW (Please, do you have some suggestions about DAW, what is best to use with Omnisphere and Keyscape?). Thanks for all your attention and help and I hope that our correspondence will be valuable for other users which has similar dilemmas about Keyscape.

I suggest that you start with Omnisphere only, and give yourself a chance to see how it behaves on your machine. Then install Keyscape.

do you have some suggestions about DAW, what is best to use with Omnisphere and Keyscape?

I'm more of a Mac person, so I don't know that much about PC DAWs. I'm sure there are some good ones, and they all probably behave well with Omnisphere and Keyscape. So just pick one that you like for other reasons.

I hope that our correspondence will be valuable for other users

Yes, I imagine it will be. I have been helped many times in the past, when I am googling for a solution to a problem and find a thread like this. Could be any topic at all, not just music software.

To Anyone Wondering Why Their Omnisphere isn't Making Noise or Whether This Will Will Work Without A Full Omnisphere 2 Install

i had that same problem installing the original omnisphere library. You need to use the actual installer. Copying into the STEAM folder manually, you will be able to register omnisphere and open it but midi information will not actually end up making noise. run the installer, then open all the disks (should be like 8 or something), and sit back and let it do it on its own, then follow the rest of the install instructions.

Because of this behavior, I would assume you need the whole original library for it to work, but only because its installer seems to make files somewhere (no clue where) that actually let omnisphere output sound.

has fixed my no noise problem 3 times so far

I think people in this thread reported problems like that if they did not start with a complete Omnisphere installation, or if their version numbers were incorrect. More details about this are in the instructions.

Same diagnosis. Read the instructions. Post your version numbers.

I've tried about 10 times using the installer to update Omnisphere and have absolutely no luck updating to 2.3.1. I am able to update Soundsources and Patches to their correct versions but no such luck with the Software. All of the Keyscape instruments show up in Omnisphere but I cannot click on them and play with them. Very frustrating. Have followed just about every step from patching the 32 and 64 bit dll files and reactivating Omnisphere with the keygen, but I keep getting to the point where I input the generated challenge code and my DAW just crashes on me.
  Resident 30.11.2016 88

Because your DAW is crashing, I imagine something could be wrong with your Windows installation, or with your DAW. I would try to start out fresh and make sure both those things are correct, and then I would start out fresh with Omnisphere. But as you can see, there's no point trying to get Keyscape to work until you have a working, updated Omnisphere.

I'm almost positive my Windows installation is fine, as I recently clean installed Windows 10 after having some graphics card driver issues. I'm running Ableton Live 9 and am puzzled. Can anyone confirm that Omnisphere will update to the most recent version for use in Ableton?
  Resident 30.11.2016 88
+6
Yes, it sounds like your Windows is OK.

Live is quite popular, so I'm inclined to assume that there are no fatal issues between Live and Omnisphere (on either Windows or Mac). I imagine that many people are using the latest Windows, Live and Omnisphere together, with no trouble.

Maybe at this point a smart move is to try another DAW? An easy thing to try would be Reaper.

This is probably one of the longest threads on here so well done to those who have kept coming back and giving advice. I've read all 24 pages. But still have MAC issues. I can see Keyscape and all the instruments but when I ran the 230c updater it did give me an error message "cannot open output file." When I checked Omnisphere afterwards it seemed to have updated - (everything is as stated on here many times) but when I try to load it just gives a message saying try to refresh the browser. I've refreshed the browser about 20 times. I've trashed the zmap index too. I also tried just reinstalling the very first Omnisphere 2 release (without doing the data again) and then updating but I can't get anything to load. I've also tried putting the library in different folders as suggested here. I've also copied the zmap file from the unzipped Keyscape folder in this release and pasted it in many places. Have any MAC users got any more ideas? Many thanks! And respect agin to all the helpers.

Hi Jaydee, sorry to hear you're having trouble. I'm a Mac user, and I ran into some problems at first, but everything I learned about how to solve those problems is in the instructions I wrote. I assume you have tried following those instructions carefully?

You described a lot about your situation, but I'm still not clear about some details. Did you start with a complete, working Omnisphere installation?

Can the initial R2R release of Omnisphere 2 be updated directly to the 2.3.1 (64bit) version?

I'm pretty sure the answer to that question is yes.

Hi chiefly,
All sorted!!! I just started from the very beginning - total blank slate. And now I have Keyscape which is superb. I used the initial Dynamics release with R2R Disk1. And then used all the latest available here.
Thanks for replying - I see you've been fairly instrumental in sorting a lot people's problems out here.
Phew.
Cheers J

Following on from my last comment. Can the initial R2R release of Omnisphere 2 be updated directly to the 2.3.1 (64bit) version? Or do you have to install some updates in between?

Ouch - I'm feeling very unlucky.
I was about a third of the way through downloading this on Jan 27th. Then on Jan 28th the uploaded links died.
Is there any chance these might get repaired?

Regards
