Spectrasonics - Keyscape Library for Omnisphere 2 - TZ GROUP screenshot
Omnisphere 2 Library | 72 GB
KEYSCAPE™ is an extraordinary new virtual instrument featuring the largest selection of collector keyboards in the world. From “holy grail” pianos to stunning keyboards you didn’t even know existed, this is a keyboardist’s dream come true.

Ten years in the making, each of these sought-after keyboards was carefully restored and then deeply multisampled by the renowned Spectrasonics Sound Development Team. These compelling and highly expressive sounds will inspire you to PLAY!

The process began with going to the ends of the earth to find and restore each one of these rare and incredibly special instruments with the top technicians and expert craftsmen from each discipline. We even went as far as spending years redoing these instruments from scratch again and again until they were totally “right.” This incredible attention to detail and meticulous care given to each instrument allowed us to develop these sounds to a whole new level of authentic tone.

While it’s every performing keyboardist’s dream to have the very best instruments instantly available anywhere, Keyscape is equally useful in the studio for producers and composers. Since these instruments can be easily transformed into amazing “unreal” sounds with the powerful STEAM Engine® under the hood, Keyscape easily turns these coveted instruments from History into innovative new sounds of the Future.

Custom Controls
The Custom Controls presented for each Patch allow you to go far beyond the original sound. The intuitive interface includes useful performance controls and high-quality creative effects processing specially crafted for each Patch. Hundreds of included Patches showcase the remarkable versatility and ability to dramatically customize these iconic sounds to your music.

Authentic Expression
With many of these collector instruments, it’s really the imperfections that make them so interesting. Instead of cleaning up all the quirks and noises they make, we made sure to closely capture them since they are a big part of their vibe. In addition to that, our software team closely modeled the authentic behavior and mojo of vintage amplifiers, classic effects units, and unique subtleties like mechanical noises, pedal noises, and release overtones to bring these sounds to a whole new level of authenticity and dynamic expression.

Hybrid "Duo" Sounds
Along with the hundreds of patches based on the 36 instrument models, Keyscape includes special hybrid "Duo" sounds which combine two of the instruments to create something entirely new. The unique timbre of these Duo patches make them some of the most creative and inspiring sounds in Keyscape!

Omnisphere Integration
As a bonus for Omnisphere 2 users, Keyscape also integrates fully as a satellite instrument within the Omnisphere® interface. Keyscape will simply appear as a library inside Omnisphere’s browser for users of both plugins. This capability allows Omnisphere 2 users to harness additional functionality like Live Mode, Stack Mode, Multitimbrality, endless FX routings and the full synthesis power of the STEAM Engine® to explore endless new sonic possibilities and combinations.

Technical Specifications
• Huge library with over 500 “Best-in-class” sounds, 36 Instrument Models and Hybrid “Duo” Patches
• Deeply Multisampled sounds with up to 32-way velocity switching, Round Robins, etc.
• Mechanical Noise, Pedal Noise and Release Noise behavior modeling
• Patches feature authentic circuit modeled amplifiers and effects
• Available as Download (77 GB) or Boxed USB Drives Edition
• Optional “Lite” installation (30 GB) for stage use
• Full Omnisphere® 2 integration

After trying that.. regardless where I put the 53 soundsources for Keyscape it doesn't change anything. "All" patches for every instrument are there and they load just fine. The issue is there is a small handful of patches that will load, but don't deliver any sound. Can you confirm Pianet "M" is playing sound when you load any patches from it?

Yes. I tried every single patch in Keyscape.

Just curious, are you using Omnisphere 2.3.1? I am.

Yes.. using 2.3.1. Strange but it just a few patches from the collection that won't deliver sound. Did you delete any certain zmaps like others mentioned? I haven't. The only other difference I'm aware of is you are on MAC and I'm on PC.

EDIT: This is crazy, but now all the Pianet M patches are playing sound as they should. I think it's a mapping problem because the Pianet M patches only play sound if I load a patch from the Pianet N instrument first and then visit Pianet M. I probably have to recreate a zmap, or resave the patches in that state.

Oh well, I was hoping that was the problem. Anyway, here's something else to check. In the Omnisphere 'About' window, I see this:

Instruments
Omnisphere Software 2.3.1 64 bit
Omnisphere Soundsources v2.0.1c
Omnisphere Patches v2.3.0c

Satellites
Keyscape Soundsources v1.0.1
Keyscape Patches v1.0.1

When I click the button "Check for updates," I am taken to a page where I see this: "Your Omnisphere installation is up to date with the latest versions." So I wonder what you see, in comparison.

Did you delete any certain zmaps like others mentioned?

Nope. Just now I have verified that my zmap.index is identical to what is provided via the download here (uploaded.net). I should mention that I have that identical file in more than one place. It's here:

STEAM\Keyscape\Soundsources\Factory\Keyscape Library\zmap.index

And also here:

STEAM\Omnisphere\Soundsources\Factory\Keyscape Library\zmap.index

It probably doesn't need to be in both places, but that's how it ended up here, and it all works, so I'm not changing anything.

I probably have to recreate a zmap, or resave the patches in that state.

Maybe. Keep in mind I didn't do anything like that here.

The only other difference I'm aware of is you are on MAC and I'm on PC.

Maybe that matters, who knows. Normally I would think that wouldn't cause something like this, but we're running out of alternate explanations.

Did you try removing the plugin and then adding it back in the host? In the browser window, did you press the circle arrow button to refresh it? Did you have a solid, working Omnisphere setup before you started adding Keyscape?

Finally.. the solution. All Omnisphere versions were the same except I had Omnisphere Patches v2.2.0g. Updated the patches to v2.3.0c.. now "everything" loads and plays. So, it's not only the software that has to be at least v2.3.1.. but the patches have to be at least v2.3.0c in order for all patches to play sound. I guess a lot of people in here who updated the software to v2.3.1 and are having issues with no sound from some of the patches have a patch version lower than v2.3.0c. *Updating the patch library solves the problem*

THERE ARE 53 .db files in the Keyboard folder...!!
I was missing MKS-20 Electric Grand.db All was working though

My structure is what the instructions dictated. Didn't change a thing.

There are 53 .db files.. you're missing one. Mine are in: STEAM\Keyscape\Soundsources\Factory\Keyscape Library\Keyboards.. like the instructions noted also. If you're missing a soundsource .db file you don't even have all the content to begin with.. how is it all working?

quote by Dr. HowardTHERE ARE 52 .db files in the Keyboard folder

I definitely have 53 files in that folder (some are db, some are db2). Then again, it's entirely possible I have files there that don't need to be there. For example, consider these files:

Bassman.db
Boutique.db
Brit-Vox.db
Classic Twin.db
Hiwattage.db
Thriftshop Speaker.db

They are here:

Spectrasonics\STEAM\Omnisphere\Soundsources\Factory\Keyscape Library\Keyboards

But they are also here:

Spectrasonics\STEAM\Keyscape\Settings\ Library\Presets\Factory\Effects\Impulse Data

That seems odd.

My structure is what the instructions dictated. Didn't change a thing.

There are 3-4 people here (including me) who reported that they got it to work only after using a path contrary to the path indicated in the instructions. I suspect that there is some reason why it behaves differently on different machines. I think people who are having trouble might want to try it both ways.

got the correct 77gb library now, i still have no sound coming from the LA custom grand piano, dark score, wash presets and i think 2 other more from that library, its jus not showing sound for those prests but it loads i dont understand ?? im using 2.3.0h with upated sound sources shoul i possibly update to 2.3.1 and it will work?
thanks

At this point my suggestion is that you try upgrading to 2.3.1. Officially, 2.3 is supposed to be good enough, but who knows? I did the upgrade myself a few days ago, and it was quick and easy. So you might as well try it.

A couple of other things that you've probably already done, but just in case: in the browser window, press the circle arrow button to refresh it. Also, try removing the plugin from your project, then add it back.

I have the same problem. Same sample file missing and same patches don't play sound.
Also some of the presets with the Wing Tack Piano don't work for me either.

My issues are these soundsources:
Wing Tack Piano ^ Stereo
Wing Tack Tremolo ^ Stereo
LA Custom C7 ^ (missing sample file error on this patch)

All the other Custom C7 patches work fine and the Mono Tack Piano and Tremolo work fine.

Just updated to 2.3.1 (was using 2.3.0h) and everything works fine so far now.

Good. It seems like not having 2.3.1 is what was causing problems for certain people.

That's great news, thanks for speaking up. So this is an important thing for people to realize. Officially, 2.3 is supposed to be good enough, but apparently it's not. So anyone having trouble should make sure they are using the latest Omnisphere, 2.3.1.

I can confirm EVERYTHING is working now. No errors or anything. There are some new Zippyshare links that were missing from the original peeplink. Unfortunately, those links are not working (top of peeplink). I would recommend anyone who downloads this to use the UL links instead of the zippyshare links as everything is there.

Tsizzle Dont write all in cap, and dont post your email here. Ask for PM.
Any clever member would not send you an email anyway, as they dont want to be traced either.

Some months ago when Spectrasonics announced the release of this collection of keyboards, I said, uff, more keyboards..., but today I can say find it a very interesting product, with good sound and great utility depending on the type of music being performed. Thanks all here, and it s in the sights for future purchases if I find an appropriate makemoney use.
