Hello everybody and welcome back to me, because I've been on 5 days vocation...

Unfortunately, I see straight away that some things got out of control while i was away, like this "Password in 24 hours" thing.

To keep it short: Strong Sound did that because he wanted to share more exclusive stuff and he didn't want other people to leech it and spread his releases on other sites or in comments/mirrors.

so, it's actually not a bad thing, which he was forced to come to, because i wasn't able to handle the mirrors problem properly.


And now I'd like to announce my decision regarding the Mirrors poll:
As usual, I wanted to make everybody happy, so i decided to provide contributors with an option to disable mirrors module in their posts.

This way, Contributors who spent money to buy and share exclusive stuff (like DISCOVER), will be able to disable mirrors in their posts;
Option will be also used by those Contributors, who want to reupload their links by themselves.

Those Contributors who don't want to reupload their posts, will leave the Mirrors option untouched, so members+ will still be able to post mirrors.

As result, we all get what we wanted.

P.S. Contributors will receive a letter with updates and instructions.

I'm surprised so many members, and even residents gone straight to comment crap, instead of reading the article completely and understand what's actually happening.

to prevent the "broken telephone" thing, I'm explaining the change in detail and replying some comments.

It is exactly because of your votes I do not disable mirrors for all contributors. people who say "you don't count our opinion" are full of shit;
- When you saying that, it seems that you're not even using this site, just coming here to drop a load of crap in comments and spread your hate.

1. Mirrors on AudioZ are needed because original links might die;
2. If Contributors will keep their links alive, there is no need for Mirrors;
3. Since we give the option to disable mirrors to some contributors, they are taking the responsibility to reupload their links to mirrors that you choose.

- now, out of interest, go read comments from rico88 (1st page) just to see how reckless people can get.

the situation is very straightforward: either I do something about mirrors, or contributors will stop posting those exclusive releases at all.

...AudioZ stays on top for all this time exactly because we can adapt to changes and move forward.

I need Mirrors!
- No you don't! Once I make the changes, every contributor who disables mirrors will be forced to upload to certain "most popular" servers which you will choose later, so that even free users could download.
...and those mirrors will stay fresh forever.

do i still have to wait for Password in 24 hours?

Sorry, I've been so busy. Is it too late to vote in the poll? Or is it already closed? I think it's important to always exercise our right to vote, regardless how small the issue may be. Strong Sound is a pirate. He isn't capable of much more than cutting and pasting. That's all he knows how to do. Do you honestly believe he's going to stop posting? Regardless if he posts here or on another site, the same exact materials will eventually find their way here. I really have nothing more to say to those, who by virtue of their misunderstandings distort the obvious, clearly written text;

perhaps as a bottomline:
1. nothing is happening for Strong Sound exclusively;
2. Strong Sound is not the only contributor who complained on mirrors. moreover, he wasn't the first nor the last one who did.
3. because of the poll results, mirrors will not be disabled for Contributors overall;
- mirrors will be disabled for exclusive posts only.
4. there's been more than enough members who stated their understanding of what is going on and approved my decision;
which means that I explained myself clear enough for everybody to understand.

those few who do not want to understand me out of principle: i don't have time for your bullshit;

I am more than sure that you are residents from another web-sites, and you're trying hard to destroy AudioZ and manipulate my members against me.
- I will not let you impose my friends minds to your shit, therefore if i see another sabotage message, i will be forced to ban you from AudioZ.

My only advise to those who still do not understand how my decision is good for AudioZ: take your time and read the post from beginning, I'm sure you will have no questions.

Every post he publish at AudioZ is replicated there (check my screenshots below - even some links are the same - and see who publish all zshare.im content : Zshareadmin). More : he's leeching all AudioZ's content (you can check that easily by yourself). There are 879 pages of stolen/copied content !

one thing you don't understand, is that this can be easily done using RSS import.

I've seen many web-sites that simply copy our content using RSS... partially, the problem is that most content published here can be accessed by anyone, without even a registration.

People, this isn't and shouldn't be about greed and earning a living from piracy... That was never the intended spirit of those that have spent many years making sure everyone could have access to the software they simply couldn't afford or wanted to test out properly before purchasing it... It should be simply about sharing... with everyone able to do so without the focus being on how much money can be made...

i think the roots of this problem is that this world is loosing professionals of all kinds.
15 years ago we all were hearing stories about some mysterious hackers, and it was something huge, untouched, unrevealed... maybe even spiritual.

people saw it as a protest... an idea.

those times are gone, and i don't think they will come back;
and i also don't see a reason to whine about it - just be proud that you were a part of it... why isn't that enough?

My biggest gripe in all this: Seriously, SAiNT, what's with all the deleted comments? Two posts specifically, I understand and could agree with- one included a death threat against you (not a serious one, but it is inappropriate enough that I would have deleted it too), and the other was a positive reply to the first.

But other than that, you've simply been deleting the posts of people whose opinion you disagree with. If they were out of line (by suggesting you are making money off of SS, etc.), it tends to be clear for everyone to see how ridiculous they were. But this censorship of random posts that you just don't like doesn't sit well with me.

I agree with Lady Gaga's points regarding recent events, and while I still have a -huuuge- amount of respect for you for maintaining and leading this site (I am under no illusion that it is an easy role), a great deal was lost primarily because of your reaction to those who were truly only trying to help AudioZ. The intention is to say how, in this matter, I've been singled out among many who expressed similar opinions by SAINT, cursed at and insulted by SAINT (as if I somehow started this whole thing when there were many comments on the issue before I ever even got involved), and had my account here diminished by SAINT for no other reason than having expressed an opinion. The ONLY intention I have in that comment is to say I'm pissed off. As I said earlier, if SAINT didn't want people to express an opinion he should put it in the rules of the site.

I remind you, this all began with me stating that a financial arrangement between SAINT and Strong Sound was a "possibility", --- one among many no less. I know of another site where there is precisely the same arrangement between uploaders and the site management, so it didn't seem impossible to me. My earlier comment of today was ultimately meant to say that this issue, and the actions of Strong Sound and then SAINT have nullified the experience of this site for me, and ultimately ended whatever relationship of a few years existed between myself and this site.

In my life I don't make threats, I take actions. If I was going to retaliate against SAINT it would have already happened. I haven't, and as far as I know nothing's gone on here. But if people continue to be needlessly insulting and unreasonable, then responding in kind becomes fair game. Further, "constructive criticism" was already drowned out, with determination, by the site owner -- after that the rest is just playing out a bad scene.

thanks for making this list for me, although you are greatly exaggerating their intentions, moreover many of those members later said that they do understand my decision when i explained it in more depth.

What went down here, i have explained several times in different words, so normal members eventually understood me and agreed with changes; only you are still arguing about something, nobody but you knows about;
and i think i wasted enough time on you to clear my conscience in case you were actually desperate to understand.

I will make this my last post on this thread.

I sincerely hope so, because all conversation with you, however civil they are, is a pure waste of time since you got some nonsense idea into your head and do not want to see and understand the full picture.

After a few PM's SAiNT and I decided to put this issue between us to rest. I can't honestly say we agree with one another, but I guess you could say 'we've agreed to disagree', which is fair enough.

He did restore my site status, which in the end means that I was allowed to say my peace without any negative consequences. Being free to speak up is the most important thing to me, and if we can do that without being given a hard time, I suppose there's no real complaint since it is SAiNT's site and it's ultimately fair for him to do what he wants with it --- whether you, me, or anyone else happens to agree with it or not. Considering how intense some of the conversation has been, SAiNT restoring the status was a decent thing to do, and I do appreciate it.

Anyway, we've had our fight, duked it out, and now its probably time to get back to the business of music and trying to get along and be friends. Even if we don't happen to agree on everything, we need to do that if the site is going to survive.
