Option to Disable Mirrors screenshot
At last, the option has been added.

Rules update on Posting Mirrors Page:
We had to add an option to Disable Mirrors for Contributors who post Exclusive releases.
If you see Post Mirror button disabled, that means you cannot post mirrors under that post.

By disabling mirrors author takes responsibility to reupload his own links and add additional links by demand.

Rules update on Poster's Guide Page:
Contributors who have access to admin panel have option to disable mirrors in their post;
this option should be used for exclusive releases only!
Overuse of this option will be punished. Please don't try to cheat on us.

If your status is lower than Contributor, you can still disable mirrors in your post by writing a personal note to moderator, directly in your post.

Please note that by disabling mirrors you take responsibility to reupload dead links and add additional mirrors by demand.

In addition, Contributors who have access to admin panel now can see members reports on dead posts.
If you disabling mirrors, you must check deadlinks page once in a few days.

Contributors, take this seriously!

I think this is great, SAiNT. I'm a Christian who happens to be pro choice. Politics is politics. To each his own.

Yeah, I can see someone not allowing mirrors and not allowing comments

you see whatever you want to see.

but in practice, Contributors don't have Allow Comments option.

I believe that's a good choice you made, SAiNT! wink
And if a contributor see's offending or rude comments he can easily report them to you. So there's no need for a comments option.

Thank you mates

*IF* the contributors actually keep a serious maintenance on all their posts, then this is a fair move. End of fights. Well done, SAiNT!...

... except there is absolutely no "exclusive" content at all.

That's true! yes It's o' so stupid to see that folks just copy/paste links from elsewhere. If the original one get's deleted, all the other one's on the boards are destroyed too! This comes because people are too lazy to upload themselves.

There is absolutely no interest for someone to copy/paste links of other people.

no no NO, you're wrong! If you study the www a little bit you'll almost find copied links on warez sites - including typing errors or wrong info!! LOL!

i was just talking to Valter about it... every contributor will see dead links reports in admin panel.
we'll give them a few days to reup the post;
if they don't reup, the post gets removed and somebody else reposting it. yes

Yes, that's right.
Now the Contributors should be more attentive to their posts.
Participants do not forget about the button "Report Dead Article" When you see dead links in posts.
Report Dead Article
The mechanism devised SAiNT. Should work.

Well, I think I'm going to stay out of the discussion this time for a few different reasons... the first is that I've already spoken my peace on this topic and I think everyone pretty much knows how I feel; second, all the arguing isn't helping out the site, if anything it takes away from Audioz; and third, it's SAiNT's place and he's going to do what he thinks is best regardless of what I think or anyone else thinks about this issue. So for these reasons I'm going to let it be this time around.

What I will say is that considering all the fighting and harsh words between SAiNT and I, he did go ahead and restore the "resident" status on my account, which was very nice, decent, and I think fair. It's a reminder that we can disagree here, but in the end we all need to try and remain friends if the site is to succeed. I appreciate that he did that, and am prepared to let this go and just move forward from here. I think we probably all should do the same.

It looks like it's the very same people that post at M****Y. For sure. I've been looking at this for some time. Most of the times there's a new post here and 1 minute before or after the very same one is there with the very same links (except no peelink bridging there, because here it's a rule).

And, if not, why would anyone else want to replicate the very same post at the same time with the same links, not once, but in most cases?.

For me, as a downloader, I don't care, but Lord GaGa is right...

Also
"This site feeds most others FACT"

is definitely true...

I see it like this:

This change gives a little more power to contributors AND members but, most important, it puts much more responsability in the hands and actions of both groups. I hope this works for everyone.

Also, it's beautiful to see that this place has become happier than... 3-4 weeks ago. Cheers to all of you: leechers, uploaders and Directive.

At the end download files from Uploaded.to is impossible.

From some day this server say "Aus technischen Grnden ist ein Download momentan nicht mglich." and this occur to free and/or premium user .

This fact make all works unserviceable.

The solutions ? Mirrors ? In this case would be useful .

pepiba,
I can download from Uploaded without problem. Maybe it's something related to the region?

Sometimes i wish AudioZ to be more an underground site!
The fact that it's very exposed + open to nearly anybody makes it vulnerable, links are getting deleted very fast, regardless how many mirrors there are.

I believe the structures of an underground site work in many ways better. Plus people who have a bad mouth get warned or banned much faster. When you keep a place secret - you can enjoy it much more i.m.o.

@Juan Sanabria ,

I think that you is in the right .
Probably it's a problem relative to the region . At this point some mirrors links are useful.

The question is : report the problem ? Or search links in other sites ?

pepiba,
Let's give time to time (i don't know if such phrase has the sense i think it has in english), I believe that everything will fit into place eventually.

Now, i have another question: it's this *link not working in certain country* issue considered the same as *link broken*? If so then there will be no problem since you could report it as well and the contributor should fix it (in theory, of course).

A very constructive, intelligent and wise comment! wink I think everybody wants contributors and downloaders to benefit in this ordeal as well. It seems like at this point, we found a happy medium (there might be a few issues that still need to be resolved). So let's put our differences behind and move forward. We don't want AudioZ to become the laughin stock of the audio scene world.

@Saint: Thanks for doing your best! yes mates
I got peace not of this world!

OK thanks for the info =)..I asked cuz once I requested a mirror that works fine where I live and proposed 5 or 6 different options but I got a negative reply...so I guess this will become an issue at some point

BTW what about this poll to decide about a few compulsory hosts for contributors? that would probably help solve this sort of problem

I don't think people that "have a bad mouth" make it any less secure. Some of us were complaining about the fact of certain users drawing attention to themselves.

No, people with a "bad mouth" won't make it less secure - but more annoying +posts full of spam-like comments.
