Reverb types and tails are then all explored, followed by the Attack, Chorus and Warp engine functions. Last but not least, you'll discover how the Gate and Freeze sections work, and just how special they are when crafting the perfect reverb for your instruments and vocals.

Nice! Exponential's R4 (and PhoenixVerb, which are essentially the same plugin,) are some of my go-to reverbs.
Big thanks for the heads up on this one, bach_metal.

Just a quick correction. Nimbus is the successor to Phoenix and same generation as R4, Phoenix is the R2 partner. Carnes says that the R types are more for coloring the reverb, the Nimbus-Phoenix are more "standard" types. Certainly the R4 is an extraordinary verb. For stereo you probably won't need anything else. And for surround up to Atmos configurations, the Symphony and Symphony3D (which are in effect R4 Surround) are the top.

There is nothing on the market like his reverbs. Picked up Phoenixverb for 10 bucks a few weeks ago.

You're correct; I misspoke/mis-typed. The R2 is the one with the same core elements as PhoenixVerb. Nice catch.

I thought you might like to know: LiquidSonics has just released its latest reverb, called Cinematic Rooms.... standard and professional versions, stereo up to 7.1.6 surround, the Lite version is on its way. It is the first vrb I have encountered (I was a beta tester) that is at the level of Exponential Audio. You can get a demo from their website. Highly recommended (and it is extraordinarily flexible for special fx in surround).
