I just watched this, what a lazy fucking tutorial.
Basically it's just a guy explaining the absolute FL Studio basics everyone already knows who has used the program for a few hours, without going into the basic layout of a song or theory, without going into synthesis using nothing but sytrus presets while creating the most generic and boring sounding song in the world.

Seems like the norm for Udemy and Skillshare. Once in a while you find a gem though

I already suspect when I read the title, "Udemy", but it's useful for a lot of people.

The title should be: Udemy - Learn how to make a music track in FL Studio in one hour, for those who don't know nothing of Fl Studio.

To be a 'song', must have lyrics, but 'music' don't need lyrics. A song is a music, but not all musics are songs. Song comes from sing. I don't know if everybody in 'sing sing prison' sang one day.
If you've never read books, like philosophy, history, and have a limited view of the world, of course you may not even know it, because your references and the place you live in can mask reality. Know that it will be difficult to write well, but you can still be a Dj, to make instrumental music, but even so, reading Aristotle can change your thinking and the direction of your life may be different, people hardly know the classical music, just reached less than 30 famous classics. Be aware, much of the rockers and famous bands have listened to classical music since they were little and took many things from the classics to make their music, the British borrowed a lot from the harmony of Brahms and specially Chopin that used the '13th chord' years before 1849.
That is, if your culture is vague, this Fl Studio tutorial' is for this, but if you read and listen more, even the music made at amazing 'Fl Studio' will be much better.

To compose a first song one must study forms, just listen to all my down list songs in Youtube that you'll understand.
Must understand what is Verse, Chorus, Refrain, Bridge, Climb (it's a pre chorus), Outro, Instrumental etc
In the form, when 'A' part presents the text idea of the song, then 'B' the second part, also can explain the song or add a story continuation, but always presented in another modulation to differentiate from 'A'. It is like Beethoven's Für Elise, whose first part is in 'A minor', and when it comes the second part goes to it's relative 'C Major', or 'B' can go from C to Ab, C to G, C to F or go back to Am, so your ears don't get tired.

Not every song has a poem, sometimes it can be a story, its personal disgrace as happens in 'Blues', make a protest, play with words, use difficult words that Americans don't use in everyday life like was used by 'Cole Porter'. Or, to create code in the lyrics of the songs, since the leaders of your country don't have so much intellect and brains to understand subliminal messages or words with double meaning, these dictators and other politicians are only there, because they are named and generally have weak culture and hardly know how to speak the cultured language of their own countries, just see how much they scream, dont know how to speak, but only shout.

The best poem to understand and feel what is it, your inteligence will conclude things on your mind. I shortened the poem and took the liberty to modify the ending to be easier to understand, if you want to read the original free poem in public domain before '1882' of 'Dante Gabriel Rossetti' get here.
