Goodbye 20th Century: A Biography of Sonic Youth screenshot
English | May 27, 2008 | ISBN: 030681515X, 0306816032 | EPUB| 464 pages | 7.2mb]
Rising from the drug-infested streets of '80s New York City, the incomparable Sonic Youth recorded some of the most important albums in alternative music history and influenced an entire generation of indie rockers.
They helped spawn an alternative arts scene of underground films and comics, conceptual art, experimental music, even fashion. More than perhaps any band of their time, they brought art previously considered “fringe” into the mainstream—and irrevocably altered the cultural zeitgeist.

Based on extensive research, exclusive band interviews, and unprecedented access to unreleased recordings and documents, Goodbye 20th Century is the definitive biography of the Velvet Underground of their generation.

Extract RAR5 archives

The majority of unpackers do not support the new RAR5 format. You will receive an error message when you try to open it, and there is usually no way to integrate it manually into the application to add support for it.

So, the only feasible option right now is to install Winrar 5.x on your system if you want to use a graphical user interface. Note that this is a trial version, and while it won't stop working after the trial runs out, it will nag you to upgrade the software.

Such an amazing band... so much of my interest in indie rock started with this band... even crazier??

I used to hate all dance music... this was back in like 1998... I laughed at all those douche bags that listened to that stupid house and techno music... how dumb that stuff is, with the repetition etc. (my old thoughts)... THEN... out at Kent State University, a friend of mine played me something called drum n bass... I was BLOWN!!... it was actually a mix but the mix started with Jonny L's "Tychonic Cycle"... with UNBELIEVABLE beats.

I immediately drew a parallel between the breakbeats in DNB to the break beats that Sonic Youth played... from there, I strictly liked DnB only... NOTHING else... but I finally did branch out big time. ... and my interest continue to evolve.

... all because of Sonic youth really...
I finally can tune a drum set
