ArcThemAll!....Man I can't live without those! (the last one is great for compressing individual folders into separate archive files

WinRAR does this when you create new archive from multiple folders - on "Files" tab check the "Put each file to separate archive" option.

Or did you mean something else? Sorry if I stated the obvious ;)

Thanks SAiNT

However, may not be over the Japanese edition / Translated of RAR 5.01 by the result that "an agency does not update and even not pay for original developper rarlab" forever...... damn

one of those tools we should actually pay for...

this is also one of those cases where there are free open source alternatives that work just as well. i have been using peazip for years. only once have i had to use anything else to open any kind of archive. and in that case 7zip worked fine for me.

And what about Winrar's RAR5 algorithm(which is slightly better than RAR)? 7zip and other archivers are useless when you got RAR5 archives to extract.

Define "just as well"...

Try and extract an archive from the desktop: 7Zip doesn't even know what the desktop is, because it doesn't see it. You would have to move the archive to the root of the c: drive first. Try and double click an archive to open 7Zip. Oh wait, it doesn't work either, you'll have to open the application first and then navigate until you find the archive. Like you're still using Windows 3.1... And, of course, if the archive is on the desktop, you'll never find it... Oh, and did I mention that 7Zip is also considerably slower than WinRAR?

WinRAR is $29, you shouldn't even question if it's worth buying or not. I'm pretty sure you're using it every day...

I don't understand why these comments are downvoted. Maybe I'm missing something?
Anyway, thanks for the upload. I'm using winrar most of the times.

Downvoted because sisko is not right about anything in his/her post, except that 7-zip is a bit slower, yes. I guess he/she never really used 7-zip or didn't give it a real try, because then he/she would know that you have to go into "options" of 7-zip and install/tick the options you want to use with it. That's actually one of the things I really like about 7-zip because it doesn't install anything that you don't want by default, like file associations, for example. 7-zip won't take over any of your archive file associations without asking you and you have to go into "options" and associate them yourself.

Core Keygen/ FFF keygen still works.
If you want to supply something, you can. PM is open for that.

Winrar opens up ISO files very well. Until that I had to use Daemon Tools Lite. Other than that it's just a nagware like Reaper so no need for cracking when it's fully functional all the time.

I've used PowerISO without incident for YEARS. Great program, give it a try.

Some people are never satisfied with anything. Complaining compulsively against with what was shared for free. This is a vicious.

Big Thanks SAiNT

Smiled when I saw this here , but yeah, of course, we need it. Nice that it does Zip and ISO too. Bin and Cue still a pain but portable PowerISO does the job. Can't be bothered to upgrade RAR until we have to though. Read somewhere that the inventor of RAR died.
When I get this one, I'll be able to create something

Never read such an enthusiastic discussion about an archiver! :) But to participate .. I mainly use WinRar and use 7Zip to extract some kind of packed exe-files and other stuff that WinRar usually isnt able to.

@lukehh - If you've ever had your archiver NOT be able to decompress an archive, then you already know how critical they are. Back in my Mac days, I can remember Stuffit Expander not working occasionally and how frustrated I'd be.
