Thanks FM for your tip on Thimeo's declipper. I'd also like to try Acon Revitalize on some horrible audio, but cannot find it on their site.. Did you make a type-o, or is it me?

Does this work with WINE, or not at all (just like RX7, and 6)?

It is a plugin which is a part of Acon Acoustica 7.2.8, effective, simple and intuitive. I did Hammerstein test on it and it synthesizes a very even spread from 2nd up to 6th harmonic.

Reaper (last version) behaves badly with RX 8 Connect and RX 8 Monitor plugins, it shuts down both times during scanning just because standalone app is closed, Ableton scans normally and shows plugins as "not connected" if standalone app is closed, which is normal, don't know why Reaper acts like that.

Yes, reaper crash while scanning it, but after, it works.

I'm using Reaper
I did the registry fix and then copied all the presets from the Programs directory and put them in the RX8 preset folder in the Documents folder

As far as finding all the presets now, it works a treat

I've also tried the Spleeter program mentioned, for separating out an audio track into 2.3 or 4 stems of Vocal, Bass, Drums and other and it works well....still not the holy grail 'tho.

So "RX 8 Connect" and "RX 8 Monitor" plugins are scanned regularly by Reaper? Are they on the list? Here Reaper closes while scanning that two plugins and they are not on the list, all the others are there and working fine. I have Reaper 6.13x64 and win 10, please let me know, thank you.

There's a fix for that:

Open the REAPER resource path (you can do this from within REAPER: Actions > Show REAPER resource path in finder), and open reaper-vstplugins64.ini in a text editor. The plugins that failed scan will have lines like this:
IzotopePluginName.vst=80F57B7D4EACD501

With nothing after the hex code. Delete the failed-scan lines, save the file, and reopen REAPER. The scan process should then skip over anything that already scanned properly, and rescan only the ones that failed.

Ok, that's a good tip but it behaves the same way while scanning again, i found out why btw, i block the app and plugins by firewall most of the times as soon a message pops up and firewall asks exactly while scanning "RX 8 Connect", "RX 8 Monitor" "Reaktor 6" and Reaktor 6 FX" plugins so i choose "yes" and now everything works.

Glad you worked it out The tip above is super useful and straight from REAPER developers. Works great if some problematic plugin fails while scanning or crashing on start.

When I read the comments here it seems to have wrong preset locations in its installer same as VocalSynth had. Repack on its way, too? Would be great! Thanks a lot for your work, people!

But with my method I did not touch registry at all, Probably reinstalling did not erase your previous manual registry entries. So there might be some registry cross references left?
If you find that is the case, try deleting them and see the effect.
You might need another reinstall after that...

I just tried the voice removing tool on a track from a Rolling Stones song and I just can't believe the result: What an amazing piece of software!

The separator tool in Music Rebalance does not work (for me).
Tried several times i get a black popup in the end showing nothing.....
