Seems to be working fine on Windows 10 Pro 1909.

The one issue that bothered me was the installer. Does not recognize current install & system info for SD3.

Had to manually move resources from C:\ProgramData\Toontrack to the correct drive & folder for previous setup/install. Also had to edit registry for location of Toontrack resource path.

The only options in the installer are:
StandAlone Destination
64-bit VST Plug-In Destination
MIDI Sound Destination

I assume this statement means you just installed the update over the previous installation, without uninstalling first? Just curious, because I usually uninstall the previous version first. Also, what resources did you have to move exactly?

The 3.15 V.R. installer unlike other installers uses the default Toontrack install paths without the option of alternate install locations for everything.

If the installer respected the current setup like Toonrack's own installer does, there would be no need to move anything or, edit the registry.

The resources are the SD3 "Root" resources directory.
C:\ProgranData\Toontrack\Superior Drummer 3\ (default)

Installed location of all previous up to 3.14:
E:\Toontrack\Superior Drummer 3\

Thanks for this quadcore64 .

AFAIC, it seems that this set of grooves is missing : 1917 @ EZX_ALT-ROCK . If so, I've uploaded it here :

Thanks!

It seems to be there under a different numbered entry 000329@ALT-ROCK_GROOVES.
Missing two folders in this one as compared to your share.

Also note this entry: 000329@AMERICAN_ROCK

Thanks Stratocasterman but I checked later : it's already posted by PiRAT, here =>

and also :

so, in fact, following your 000329 lead, I found it under => 000329@ALT-ROCK_GROOVES .

Thanks quadcore64 .

Well, it's all there in fact, sorry for the post ...
My excuse is the MIDI extraction numbers up to ... 125457 files ( !! ) .

I'm a Windows user. But I do see a Mac or Linux publication. I also appreciate it. You have to appreciate what all these people do for us for free. And I mean all the teams. And personal problems should be treated differently.
Because it is true that the rating refers to whether the program works or has a problem.
We should be partners, not enemies. Whether you're Mac or Windows or Linux.
If you only look at one side of the coin, you'll never truly know if it's a coin.

But are are your EXZ,SDX & MIDI all in the default location?
Assuming so if (as was mentioned) this install does not account for locations and uses defaults.
If it does not look, I ought to end up with the new stuff clean on my C drive because I have existing stuff on another drive.
Then maybe I can compare any inconsistencies in the two MIDI folders.
I have a feeling some installers did not work perfectly and there is some weirdness.
I'd love to see a pristine & perfect directory to know :)

No, I changed all 3 locations and pointed the midi to the Toontrack folder on D drive where the other 780 GB of toontrack stuff is installed. I also installed the VST and the Standalone on my D drive. I'm not sure if it makes a difference but I also have EZD2.1.8 installed (The "Hell-oh" repack found in the comments of this post) https://audioz.download/software/win/163211-download_toontrack-ezdrummer-v218-ce-win32-64-aax-rtas-vsti-sal.html

the midi all installed into the same folder (I have backup clones of everything so it wasn't a major problem it just took longer) I notice it installs a folder called "MIDI" (in caps) as opposed to "Midi" if you hide your original midi folder.

Seems quadcore64 may be incorrect.

Thanks for the rundown.
I have that same ExD2. I just moved my TT Library to another drive to open free space on my main Daw Lib drive, so it is a good time to test out.
TT has got to 813 Gig on mine. I added in the extra mics from the main library

I'll note the registry locations and then uninstall SD 3.1.4 & install this.
Curious...why do you install the VST & standalone on D drive?
I move a lot of stuff and symlink, but most progs (unless portable) I keep on C drive, because they match the registry and most don't take much space.
Wondering if there is advantage to installing to another drive.

If you read my post correctly, you will notice that "Resources" location was the issue. No MIDI.

Now, if you have are using the default paths on Drive C:\, the V.R. installer will most likely work just fine. On a system here alternate drives & VST paths are used & registered, the V.R. installer does not seem to use the registry entries for that system.

This is what I have experienced.

As noted... The Toontrack update installer & others will pick up the current install structure & install correctly. This has been my experience.

My comment was addressed to pippon who writes the extraction creates a new folder : yes, it is so, but, as detailed by quadcore64 previously :
quote by quadcore64The only options in the installer are :
StandAlone Destination
64-bit VST Plug-In Destination
MIDI Sound Destination

we can modify the destination, which I did too to archive all those new MIDI files.

Ok, but my point is it will NOT create a new midi folder if you install it into the same place where your other midi is installed, it will just merge with it.
  Resident 26.02.2013 22 2287
+3112
For sure if we chose an existing folder, it will merge the files in / over it.
That's why I first liked to archive the new MIDI content . ( Already done with the millions of " older " files, each time now, and since, " a long time ago ", I mixed everything very badly and it was a total mess x 10000 ... )
