well, as a review of the product..
i recently added V-drum kit to my studio, along with the new machine last year and i have to say i am very happy playing the sd3 sounds. between the added mics, and seamless plug-n-play with the e drums i actually prefer playing this to going down to guitar center and playing acoustic ones

now, to qualify that statement to the folks who prefer acoustic over electronic i would bring acoustic to a gig (like, where they dont pay you) but to play what i want it would be e-drums into sd3 in the comfort of my studio

Is someone willing to take the bullet for all & test this V.R. version? :D

Installing now, I would suggest anyone updating to first hide your midi folder first, this installs a lot of extra midi (previous did too) BUT I'm getting a weird error, some of the error choices are in Russian so it was trial and error.

I wish there was an option NOT to install the midi it would make things easier and much faster, it takes longer to copy midi than it does to copy all the other files. From what I can see there is an issue with the included Decades midi, I already have the Decades midi from the SDX so it doesn't matter, but if you install in the same place you will have to click away through a lot error choices before things start moving again. Avoid it by moving your midi folder first.

haven't loaded it up yet lets see what happens now

In case anyone hath the troubles and woe of your EZX libraries being unseen, follow ye this registry editation:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Toontrack\Superior\EZDrummer
double click homepath and change value data to the location of the ezdrummer libraries.

This is particularly useful if one's libraries be not upon thy C:drive. Felicitations!

For anyone who actually uses this, there is a lot of extra midi in this release that wasn't in the previous, some of it is good some not so good because some of the grooves aren't mapped correctly, meaning sometimes what should be a snare sound might be a cymbal sound so the beat doesn't sound right until you correct that, etc etc. But the midi that matters like all the Toontrack midi is great, so far all seems well. I'm going to clear out some of the clutter in the midi folder and then be golden. It's a lot of midi.
