Did you try it installing it again and did the error repeat?

If you have the XLN midi pack (XLN Audio Metal Songs for Superior and EZ Drummer MIDI), try to take that out before reinstalling and see if that was causing the error.

Warning: Midi whore with O.C.D. coming through

Maybe nobody cares maybe somebody does, but just for the record all is not what it seems,

it seems that this set of grooves is missing : 1917 @ EZX_ALT-ROCK . [/url]

quote by quadcore64It seems to be there under a different numbered entry 000329@ALT-ROCK_GROOVES.

The EZX ALT Rock midi and the ALT Rock Grooves midi are not the same. They have different names because they are different midi packs, one is the midi from the ALT Rock EZX, the other is a seperate midi expansion pack that is sold separately, look inside and you'll see they are not the same. Only one has timpani, there are different time signatures etc etc

Same story with EZX UK POP midi and UK POP grooves midi, they're different. there may be others too..

On a similar note, there are 2 "Indiependent" folders but those ARE the same, so you can delete the one under "Add Ons" and leave the one under Superior Libraries if you have the Indiependent SDX, if not then vice versa. same thing with "The Rock Warehouse"

I'll note the registry locations and then uninstall SD 3.1.4 & install this.
Curious...why do you install the VST & standalone on D drive?
I move a lot of stuff and symlink, but most progs (unless portable) I keep on C drive, because they match the registry and most don't take much space.
Wondering if there is advantage to installing to another drive.

The reason I install as much as I can on D drive is because my C is only a128GB ssd, so something like the Waves bundle for example takes almost 10GBs alone, so I put that on D, I pretty much install everything I can on D but some stuff doesn't allow, like Arturia V Collection, thats 10GB on the C drive right there. I know I should upgrade someday but it's a laptop so I'm not as comfortable opening it up as I would a desktop. I'll upgrade eventually, until then I have a 2TB D drive and 2 - 4TB external E and F drives connected. I can't wrap my head around the whole symlink thing, I know that would probably be a good solution but I get confused when things get too technical like that, I have very limited brain power. I never usually mess with the registry at all so I have no idea whats going on over there, but thankfully I usually don't have any problems with music software

Laptop hardrives and memory are common upgrades and they are designed to simplify it. Nothing to be afraid of, super easy to upgrade a hard drive.

Take your laptop model number and search youtube for hard drive replacement/upgrade and there's probably already a couple of detailed tutorials already made that will walk you through it step by step. It's like a 10 minute job.

Could someone Upload the complete Midi pack? I've seen someone posted the missing files to Zippy but the links are dead. Thanks a lot!
