Ableton has updated Live 9 to v9.7 which brings more sample slicing options, a new drum layout and on-screen display improvements to Push, Ableton's hardware instrument. Plus you can route audio or MIDI right from the unit, so you can stay in your flow while you switch ins and outs for sampling and resampling. And if you don't use Push, the new slicing capabilities are now features of all editions of Live 9 – from Lite to Suite.

Improvements and feature changes:

New Simpler Slicing modes (Beat, Region, Manual) are now available.
As a consequence of the new Simpler features, Live Sets created with this version cannot be opened with previous versions anymore.
The beat time of connected apps in a Link session will be aligned when starting Live's playback with Tap Tempo or via Looper.
Updated manual, lessons and info text translations.

Before you generate license u need to copy paste and replace the patched Ableton Live 9 Suite exe into C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 9 Suite\Program otherwise it wont work...

@TottyMusic : Not everyone installs Ableton Live in that folder u mentioned. So its better to say: "into the folder you installed Ableton Live like ...Ableton\Live 9 Suite\Program" ;)

Hey, i managed to drag drop the patch to the abelton program folder. i have also got the authroiz folder but when i run it, it says "authrozation is invalid for this computer "

Im probably being blind but im not finding the setup in any of the folders .
Not that its difficult to miss but ive dl,ed and unzipped 3 times and for some reason i get everthing but an actual "setup msi" or similar.
Ok so back to v9.7 "that version for me works flawlessly"

Use "Extract Here" until you get to the 7Zipped SFX; Then copy/move it to the root of your drive (C: or D: etc); Then use "Extract Here" again and you won't get errors!

My error. The patch I used was listed above as a separate download. I patched the 32 bit with a 64 bit exe. DUH! Just need the other exe file for 32 bit. Sorry to bother everyone
