I was asking myself why those Updates are so heavy ? Now I understand: because many of us are running old versions of the product they have to make a "full versions" update + for the ones they do not have the product, you can find the full copy of the product. And for the others its not a matter of what is Inside but a matter of : Do you understand when I am talking ?? Read my lips ...

Theoretically on any Absynth5 install, yes. If you're on win use their reg tool and you shouldn't need any previous install too. I leave the word to win users on this though, mac here.

You don't need to update Absynth since all version 5 releases show very little changes. Even Absynth 4 is still very good, despite NI's dropped support for it.
