i understand the idea of teaching someone to fish vs giving them a fish, but i followed the link you posted and read everything, and i still could not tell whether this is a true sampler that allows you to work with your own samples or a sample playback tool that requires you to purchase sample sets. i think if you know the answer to the op's question it would be helpful to state it .

Yep. Libraries from BS Engine can be loaded in Independece... That fact is known for ages...But normaly with valid key, othervise doesnt work..

The only BS Engine had so far was cracked one, from Team VR and KRock, but it was cracked so license key was not required to run with libraries at the time....
But same libraries coulld not work in Independence due to missing license...

BS Engine is developed by MAGIX for Best Service...
It si like Kontakt Pro and Player - BS Engine is just a player, while Independece is full suite sampler i think...

BTW, never liked Independece GUI, aahhh, awful....

Has someone been succesful in using Independence Pro Library with this one?

Independence Pro v3.1 previous crk worked like a charm, but this one doesn't seem to recognize this library here (both Standalone exe & VST in Studio one).

So... is this a rompler that can use some (or most) of Engine's libraries? We already have Engine itself thanks to R2R. Then what's the practical use of this? Just curious.

Independence had more options at the time and its biggest strength was and still is for some of us its impressive comprehensive library, which is still of high quality, even compared to more recent banks.
Alas! the crk available in this post seems not to work. So for the moment, there is no real interest in using it to play the banks available for "Engine", especially since this version of Independence has not been updated recently as indicated in the post

Thanks for the info. So... you're saying there is 'impressive comprehensive library' for this VSTI, but was not included in this upload, right? Then we can look forward to a kind of FULL version would be uploaded sometime

I have most of the libraries working on my mac, BIG thanx to R2R, but the Independence Pro is not working since not yet k'ed by anyone for mac.

Do we need a license file in order for this to work? The Independence library absolutely won't work for me in either standalone nor VST. Has anyone gotten it to work for them?

Is there a keyfile for the library at all? It's the only library that isn't registered.

I have not tried this as a new install on a "virgin" system, but cleaned up and installed Independence and the libraries enough to be quite sure that:
This library CAN be used by Independence IF YOU USE THE INSTALLERS provided in the 2019 package: MAGIX Independence Pro Library v3.0 DVD9 D1-9-R2R

The installers are in the first DVD, so you only need to download that one.
It has an installer for a minimal setup and one for a full setup.
You can run the installer of your choice and it will place the needed files in your system and begin to build a Library folder for you.
(You must run the "Pro" installer if you want to access more than the 'basic' library)

NOTE: I would suggest renaming your existing Library during the install so your actual library remains untouched. You can clean up the Library the installer begins to create afterwards (I choose a convenient Location "G:\DAW Lib 3 \ Magix to delete\" so I can see what it placed there and easily delete afterwards).
When it has finished setting up the system, and it asks you to insert a DVD or select a source file, you can abort the install and it will ASK YOU if you want to KEEP the installed files. Choose: "YES".

Then you can open Independence and select this already "installed" library (or the old v3.0.0, if that is what you have in place).
You can delete the Library that the installer began to create - the needed files are not in the library itself but in other folders (ProgramData, etc).

This same procedure can be used on a fresh install if you already have an existing library.

It seems that Independence Pro v3.6.0-R2R is opening all the Best Service libraries that I have.
Those were authorized using the Yellow Tools ELicenser.
My Best Service Engine v2.8.0.58-R2R-2022.01.12 won't open the Independence Pro v3.0.1 Library.
(There is a 'Library not authorized' message, but no ELicenser popup.)
