Thanks Team RETSU & DECi, the updated keygen seems to work on my idiosyncratic (oddball) system now! =D (Although I have a feeling that it's Korg's fault it didn't reg last time!)

Yeah, seems if you have non ascii username, the registration gets screwed up! D:

Last keygen uses user name of the computer. KORG uses GetUserNameW to acquire the user name, convert it to UTF-8, then generate challenge code from that. That generation process is slightly unstable if user name contains any non-ascii charcters. Actually, the guy who coded R2R emulator says he used MAC Address activation because of that user name unreliability.

I'm far more stupid than that, I have a... space in my user name!

I think it was the real culprit, dunno why I chosen to add a space to my windows nick, it was very long time ago....

EDIT: Thank you a LOT for the missing explanations, I was eager to understand exactly what is the problem!

EDIT2: I think this admin problem arises only if you have let the UAC active, personally I deactivated it, so that this is really not a problem.

For example, today I voluntary run the keygen without being superuser, and it worked perfectly because there is no real obstacle, my user is supposed to be admin anyway...

I know that since a little while "admin" does not necessary mean "super user" in windows, but anyway I have no problem with that.

guys... what on earth are you using for usernames..?? jeez I'd be terrified to even use caps or anything longer than 4 chars (I had problems with folder names being too long, years ago tbh..)

Absolutely. Downloading as I'm writing. The only thing that bothers me about it is that you can't get rid of the ludicrously big keyboard and see the FX at the same time. Weird design decision.
