Since the birth of the ARP Odyssey in 1972, it has been a renowned analog synthesizer used on many artists’ records. However, for a number of years it was quite difficult to come by. In 2015, KORG welcomed ARP Instruments’ co-founder David Friend as an advisor and began production of the hardware once again.

The KORG Collection ARP ODYSSEY is the software version of the 2015 ARP ODYSSEY reproduction. We used KORG's proprietary CMT (Component Modeling Technology) to emulate the analog feeling and sound of the original as closely as possible. We've also given it numerous enhancements that are possible only with software, like high polyphony and built-in effects. It’s the most vintage and most modern ARP ODYSSEY that only KORG, with analog know-how and digital technology, could create. Be sure to get it.

Not working for me in terminal... Think it has to do with moving to from bash to Zsh.. Any help?

Do you have xcode installed on your mac? I'm not sure if that makes a difference, but from past releases, I had many issues until i installed xcode.

Works just fine for me on Mojave 10.14.6. Be warned, however: I installed per the instructions. While the AU and VST went where they were supposed to go, the ARP standalone just installs into the KORG folder inside your Applications' folder. What this means is, when you run the Terminal commands, your VST and AU plugs will be patched, but you'll get a message saying "No such directory or file exists" in regards to the app and it will remain un-patched.

If this happened to you, simply move the ARP standalone app into (or create, if it's not already there) the "KORG Legacy" sub-folder inside of the KORG folder in your Applications, then run all the Terminal commands again. This time, it will work. I guess you could also edit the Terminal commands before entering them so that the directory is correct, but just moving the app itself seems easier.

It seems that GForce is a more modern take on the Odyssey, where the Korg is trying to be more authentic, including the different revisions. Both are cool in their own way. GForce sounds better to my ears YMMV

The AAX won't work, does it just wrap the vst or is it different? It's the only one out of the Legacy collection that won't work in Pro Tools
