It processes the sound from the DAW's output to your speakers/headphones and you want to hear the direct DAW output.
It's enough to disable it when you are making music.

That's a very weird statement, since ASIO is supposed to bypass Windows processing entirely, and even if this app outputs in ASIO, you cannot have two ASIO outputs at once in normal scenarios. That means the app has to be off in both scenarios.

Of course, if you are not running your DAW in ASIO for any reason, then yeah, disable it. Sonarworks Reference is pretty smart in this regard, it will detect two instances and deactivate systemwide automatically, even if it's going to be bypassed.

When pre-listening to final stereo masters it is advisable to also use a dedicated player like Signalyst HQPlayer Pro with WASAPI driver because in that way you get significantly more precision in sound reproduction.

its good but used on games it just eats up too much CPU and the games stutter

Anybody know if this differs from the FREE non-commercial product?
It seems the free version and this are the same file, so I'm wondering if the license will unlock extra features, or just permission to use the app in a commercial environment.

It is much like Bongiovi DPS, but with more features.
The unlicensed version will expire after some trial period.
It is pretty useless, since it has just a couple of basic features. Usually, you get much more /and better quality/ control over output with your sound card software.
Many years ago there was SpinAudio ASIO FX Processor, a standalone program that could stack plugins to enhance the audio played through speakers or headphones in real-time. (Don't mix it with today's 'discdjstore' products). SE version 1.2 supports only 4 Parallel VST Effects. ME 1.0 version can process 8 parallel VST effects, and additionally process MIDI instruments.
It was cracked by TALiO in 2003. Somebody might repost it.

My default Audio-Out goes right into a "Behringer ULTRA-Dyne Pro" + "Tube Ultra-Q T1951" then to the amplifier. Both like 15 years old.

No CPU used everything sounds awesome.

When this was installed, I received an error message from my DAW and had no sound when I tried to use Core Audio. As soon as I uninstalled, it worked normally. Fortunately it's not a problem with ASIO.
