FreeRapid (jDownloader alternative)

JDownloader is perhaps the most popular download software that supports numerous file-sharing hosts. Unfortunately, nothing is perfect and JD is in fact far from being perfect. Heavy interface, many unresolved bugs, unstable operation, etc.
We all know there are many alternatives, but which one is actually "worth downloading"?

FreeRapid is an easy to use Java-based downloader that supports downloading from Rapidshare, Youtube, Facebook, Picasa and other file-sharing services, include the new ones like mega.co.nz.
Simply copy and paste your links from a browser to this application. FreeRapid Downloader will handle the rest itself. No more clicking or uncomfortable waiting.

I have been using Freerapid since 2009 and never had a single issue with it. Yes there are few things missing like Folder support, but compared to JD, Freerapid is light-weight (just 2-3MB, works without prior installation), very stable and updates are issued every day.
It's freeware or rather donation-ware. Starts up in about 2 seconds, with clipboard monitoring, you can download in no time. No hassles, just set up your default download folder and it's ready to use.
For audio-geeks-friendly comparison, JD is like ACID Pro, FRD is like REAPER

But don't listen to me. Check it out yourself:
