I have been using Freerapid since 2009 and never had a single issue with it. Yes there are few things missing like Folder support, but compared to JD, Freerapid is light-weight (just 2-3MB, works without prior installation), very stable and updates are issued every day.
It's freeware or rather donation-ware. Starts up in about 2 seconds, with clipboard monitoring, you can download in no time. No hassles, just set up your default download folder and it's ready to use.

I am not sure if the original post fits here, but whatever. It is a great program. I have been using it for over a year (encountering only a few glitches and crashes). It is 1,000 times better than those junk "accelerators" file hosting websites have been trying to make people use.

mine opens in 10 secs JD2beta nightly - has so far only one bug(sometimes cant delete files int he linkcrawler.)

im using JD since 2008 daily.
anyway ill check out free rapid!

Is this thing supposed to make downloads faster if you don't have a premium account with the sharing service? I'm downloading Spire right now from uploaded and it's just as slow as ever.

ps: Ive been a jdownloader user for years now, but I really like thatnew one you posted here....jdownloader takes fucking ages to launch and very often as you pointed out it's quite buggy (cant write to disk error, old plug in..etc...)
