TEAM FLARE Output Arcade Utility Tool v1.0 READ NFO-FLARE screenshot
Team FLARE | 03 May 2021 | 33.5 MB

! REQUIRES THE LATEST VERSION OF JAVA TO WORK !

MAC USERS YOU MIGHT NEED TO SUDO THE APP FOR IT TO WORK PROPERLY!

PASTE THIS IN THE TERMINAL:

sudo java -jar "[Location of flare-arcade-1.0.0.jar]"

EXAMPLE:

sudo java -jar "/Users/name/Desktop/flare-arcade-1.0.0.jar"

What does this tool do?

This tool imports and exports Output Arcade's Library Content. This
tool must be used to import our Library Content as Arcade has a .db
file which needs to be modified for the content to be recognized.

How do I use this tool?

To Import your library content you must select the Arcade Content Path
(it should be done automatically). If you'd like to change the path
you must open Arcade then go to the settings and change it from there!

The default locations are:

For Windows:

C:\ProgramData\Output\Arcade

For Mac:

System/Library/Application Support/Output/Arcade

After you specify the content location you must specify the path
where your downloaded library content is.

After you can click import and wait for the tool to do its
importing. (It might take a while depending on your system).

Once it's done you'll get a popup window saying that its completed.

How do I export kits/lines?

Specify where you want to export your kits to. Make sure its in a
folder and not in a root directory. Once you do that, select which
lines/kits you'd like to export. You can select multiple by holding
down CTRL (Windows) or Command (Mac) and clicking on what you want.

After the kits you want are selected, you can click export and wait
for the tool to do its exporting. (It might take a while depending on
your system).

Then click export. Once it's done you'll get a popup saying its
completed.

Can I import/export my own custom kits?

At the moment you aren't able to import/export your own kits. You
might be able to in future updates though!

I'm full of admiration and respect for the work the Flare have been doing and I finally got the tool to open and have followed the provided video. However, although the tool does import etc. nothing is showing in Arcade. Spent hours and hours on this so hate to give up. Got the latest Java 11.0.1. Has anyone got the Library Content working? I'll be downing buckets of Prozac soon.

On Windows 10, I had this problem too until I read this here:

"Change the properties of the files Java.exe and Javaw.exe to "Run as an admin"

(find them at C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-16.0.1\bin)

(that was key for me otherwise Local.db was never updated only files copied)"

For Windows10 only:

1/ Open Paths.xml & change location of your Content Folder Library (if not default location one),
2/ Unpacked the library in separate folder, as close as possible, to the root of your HD (ex d:\Arcade Content\ to play lazy 'cause Arcade Utility tool will ask the path to be entered each time and manually!),
3/ Load / install latest Java JDK from oracle.com and change in properties/compatibility -> run as an admin => Java.exe and Javaw.exe (that was key for me otherwise Local.db was never updated only files copied),
4/ Open the Arcade Utility tool by right click on JAR and choose run with Java,
5/ Content folder should match with update done in Paths.xml earlier,
6/ Under "Import from:", hit select and browse your unpacked Arcade Content Library,
7/ Repeat steps 6 for each line you want to import (check Local.db file should increase otherwise you may still have another issue!),
8/ Open Arcade in DAW or as standalone and press the search button on the left. Scroll to the bottom and the imported content appears there.

Really hope it helps somehow (worked for me at least!) and if might not, please do not shout since i have already left ... Gone for playing music! Thanks to the crackers here!!*<;-)

Again, no it's nothing. Not working. I did the admin change, right click - nothing happens. It just doesn't ever load or open the utility. Period.

i was struggeling the whole last night, because i just wasnt able to open the jar file. After maybe 4 hours, i found out, that i need to install the cracked arcade player first, to get the import tool running (of course i have to, but i was thinking the installer for the Arcade Player isintegrated in the jar File ) . After the installation of the arcade player, the jar-file was able to locate the local.db of my arcade Installation, so that the gui of the import utility starts a few seconds after i double clicked the File.

1. Install the Acrade Plugin first. You will find it here:

2. Download the Output Arcade Sound Library Content pack. It also includes the right JDK-Version for the Arcade Import Utility.

3. Unzip all Files, so that at the End, u got an Folder, wich includes Folders, for every single kit (after hours, Nightmare, etc)

4. Install the JDK-package, which comes with the Output content package

5. Open up your DAW and the previously installed Arcade Plugin. There has to be a Gear Icon, on the left down site. Press it - you can now chose, where u want to have your Library-Store for Arcade. I let it default.

6. Start the Arcade Import utility. If the utility will not start, try the following:
- Open up the command line as an administrator
- locate your JDK-Installation Path and jump into it, over command line and start

- now, type in the following command. In my Example, the Arcade Utility is saved at C:\Temp:

if this doesnt work, try it with this command:

7. u will see a lot of things happen in the command line, when it works and it will open a User Interface. Here you kan select the Arcade Kits, u want to import. Do it one by one. The selected path has to look like this:

-> Info: if you changed the directory of your Arcade Content, in the Arcade VTS-Plugin, u need to relocate the "Arcade Plugin Content" Folder, in the Arcade Utility as well (First row in the Userinterface). Otherwise, you can let this field default und just select your Kits, u want to import

-> Press import and thats it!

I also noticed, that the utlity makes trouble, if you try to import your Kits, while the Arcade Plugin is open. I guess it is because of the Fact, that the utility cant write changes in the "local.db", while the arcade plugin is running. So close it, before u start importing your libraby stuff.

:)

In the end I managed to get everything working (The plugs work fine, I installed the tools for Java and the Utility Tool works). Unfortunately I still have a problem to overcome that in fact makes all the work done useless: As I said The Utility Tool starts but doesn't allow me to select the folder where I put the Arcade libraries (48Gb) to import! Apparently everything seems ok but without this feature it's not possible to implement the downloaded expansions in Arcade! I've tried everything but I've not obtained any useful results ... if anyone has any idea how to solve it, I'm all ears!

My OS is Mojave and the Daw is Logic X 10.5.1. Thanks in advance for any useful info to solve the problem!

Create an alias of the Library, then put that alias where the Tool allows you to search.

Maybe I didn't explain myself well. The Tools shows me some locations available in my configuration: For example I see the Desktop but if I select this location then I'm not able to enter the directory and see any folders present on my Desktop. This happens for all the locations that the Tools shows me. External disks are not selectable! In conclusion, even if I create an alias of the downloaded content and put it on the Desktop, I'll never be able to select it! Anyway thanks for your interest and suggestion!

If you go to Mac's Hard Drive in the Java app and then Volumes you'll see all your drives in the drop down menu.
What I found that worked is the following: you need to create another folder (I put mine on the same external hard drive as the Flare content) and then chose to import from the Flare to the new folder each invidiual expansion. You'll notice the import suddenly takes a lot longer. Then when you go back to the plugin the expansion is there. It's time consuming but works. You can't batch import. Also, change the Arcade plugin content location to the new location.

Can I move the Arcade Content folder to another external drive after I have import the lines that I want tot use without importing again?

You can move the arcade content through plugin itself , i recommend you choose the same External HD that other 34GB libraries but in different folders , and then import the libraries through Java , and all the process will be fast .

Please help

I have went through all the steps multiple times and cannot seem to get content to import. It worked once for me on after hours, and I followed the exact same steps for the rest of the expansions and only that showed up. I keep seeing these errors in administrative command prompt, and when i try to address them (set all to not read only) or to change permissions, it recopies all the files with the same errors. After the first access is denied when I hit import again I get the read-only error. The command I am using to run jar file is in an admin cmd and : java -jar L:\Output.Arcade.v1.6.1.4076\TEAM.FLARE.Output.Arcade.Utility.Tool.v1.0.READ.NFO-FLARE\flare-arcade-1.0.0.jar

See my post in this thread for an image of the errors :

This should help solve your Problem Part II IO and accessibility errors for Windows 10 users:

I got it to finally work by doing a few additional steps I haven't seen posted here yet:

1) Change permissions for all users of your C:\ProgramData\Output folder. Right-click on the folder -> Properties -> Security then click the Edit button to add "Everyone" and "ALL APPLICATIONS". Give all users Full Control, click Apply and Close.

2) Do the exact same thing for your extracted Arcade Content folder that you downloaded. This is NOT the folder in C:\ProgramData\Output\Arcade\Arcade Content
This is the folder content that you downloaded.

3) Disable Read Only mode on both of those folders and include all files and subfolders when it asks. The Utility sets all files it imports to Read Only so if you need to reimport, you will have to disable read only mode on the C:\ProgramData\Output\ folder each time.

4) Run the flare-arcade-1.0.0.jar utility in a CMD prompt in Administrator mode by navigating to the directory(it should be placed in C:\ProgramData\Output\Arcade) so you can see if you are still getting any errors during import.

If your import was actually successful, you will see something similar to this at the end of every import in your CMD window:
2021-05-08 01:32:52.963 INFO 7908 --- [pool-2-thread-2] com.flare.arcade.service.FileService : Import completed.

Hope this helps.
